This looks fun, I followed some on OS before making the switch, so happy to see you come over as well.

Hazzard Country- Good ol' Boys, This time meaning Harm

Before we get into the 2034 season let's take a step back and go over some bullet points of who we are and what we believe in
Offense Philosophy
To our core and to the day we die, we believe in running the football, controlling the clock and limiting turnovers. We have led the country in rushing every single year and we are guessing we run it about 80% of the time. We have yet to have a QB throw for over 2K yards. While most spread it out and are obsessed with speed that's not the case in Hazzard. If you come to Hazzard as a HB you are eventually going to get on the field and have a great chance at being drafted. We believe a team starts in the trenches and OL is the most important position for us in recruiting and with coaching. We want to make you sell out to stop the run and then we sneak that play action pass in and beat you for a big gain. You can't score if you don't have the ball. If you can't run block for us then you will not get on the field.
Defense Philosophy
We run a 4-2-5 defense and we don't call a lot of blitzes. We rely on our 4-man front to get pressure and sit back in zone most of the time. We don't put up crazy high sack numbers the season record for us is 15. We think play rec is the #1 skill you can have even over speed. We do like for our LB to have speed though and like for our CBs to be 6'2+. We will usually sit back in cover 2/3 and see if they have the patience to go on a long drive after being on the sidelines so long watching our run game. If it's 3rd down we can bring some heat.
The Powerbone
At the heart of everything we do is the offense we invited called "The Powerbone". This is a old school, smash mouth run over you offense with the max amount of 500 plays. We have spent countless amount of hours perfecting this offense and we would put it up against anything. We don't have a single shotgun formation or anything with 4 WR's. In fact you will barely even see a 3 WR formation. It's not just the flexbone triple option offense even though we have plenty of that. We can easily stick in I-formation / strong all day and when it's 3rd and 2 and we line up in Maryland I and power I go ahead and start moving the chains. We also will throw in some wildcat a few times a game. We are always tweaking things and just this year we removed some pistol and added 14 plays of singleback-wing. We basically start 5 HB's in this offense with 2 normal HBs, power HB, flexbone FB and blocking FB.
Good vs Evil
If you know anything about the history of Hazzard you know the battle with Good vs Evil is always going on and that continues here from time to time. Boss Hogg is always up to no good and is the GM while Uncle Jesse Duke is the coach and always on the good side. Just like in the past good almost always wins. However with Boss Hogg always a chance a few starting players leave the team right before the season thanks to his wicked ways
The Hard Way
If you know what Uncle Jesse stands for it's no surprise he decided to do it the hard way and not taking any short cuts. You will see things like play call limits, play cool downs during the game. We will kick FG's and punt when it's 4th and long, but if it's 4th and 2 with our run game at about midfield its likely a power run. Boss has had us on a recruiting budget which is thankfully not as tight as it was since we just won the national title. We have only signed 1 5* in 9 years and never finished top 5 in recruiting. During the offseason you will see the 25% nerf for progression. To make it even more of a challenge 2 games a year plus a playoff game we only watch the game. Also with recruiting we have rules in place about the 4* we go after like top 10 interest to start then we narrow it down to pipeline and border stats so all 4* we aren't able to go after
Goodbye Sunbelt, Hello SEC
We have dominated the last few years in the sunbelt other rebranded teams with only 1 team on our level in Minnesota State Screaming Eagles. Since we won the title last year like the Jefferson we are moving on up and have joined the SEC. We will still make the rebranded teams part of this and will usually schedule them for out of conference games. We have mixed success going up vs the elite teams usually losing to teams like Auburn and Ohio State and now we play a much more difficult schedule
No Respect
Despite an amazing record it seems the college football God's don't believe in Hazzard and give us no respect. I bet we missed the playoffs 4 times even when we scheduled 4 top 10 teams on the road we would miss the playoffs with 1 loss. It does appear like that may have finally changed with us winning the title and being in the SEC now. With how much we run the ball you would think we have won all kinds of awards and that hasn't been the case. We have yet to win a hesiman and only won 1 Doak Walker award and that was this past year. We take care of our plays and will spread the carries around so don't expect just 1 or 2 guys to get all those rushing yards.

Story of Our First Ever 5* Commit - Generational Jumbo TE
Boss Hogg isn't going to fork out the $ for a 5* until he gets that national title $. However, once he laid his eyes on this one player, he changed his mind and will beg, borrow and steal to get him. Since we were in his top 10 we have a fighting chance for the 10th ranked player in the country. Lets get to meet this once in a generation prospect
The player is the polish hammer Alexander Prosinski a 6'6- and 269-pound TE from Louisiana. We have never seen a TE his size come across, and we project his weight to get to about 280 pounds before his graduates. It's not just his size that makes him special he is an athlete so not just a lumbering blocker. He has 85 speed, 85 acceleration, 81 strength and even 77 route running. He also has great hands already 84 catching, 83 catch in traffic and bronze sure hands. The run blocking a solid 65 and 81 strength we know that likely can get better. The biggest negative you can say about him is you don't know his dev trait and he isn't a gem.
We already are coming up with all kinds of ways we could use him from traditional TE, H-back in sets like Pistol full house and goal line heavy and most importantly give some flexbone FB carries. We have promised him the sun, moon and stars and with Uncle Jesse here this could be the first time Boss keeps his word. We have told him we can get him 10 rushing TDs a year plus some receiving in this offense if he come to us.
As far as the chances to land him it's off to a good start and we went from 7th to 2 and jumped major schools with better pipelines then us like LSU. UGA and Alabama. Getting by LSU is a big one as they are the in-state school and a major pipeline advantage. It's looking like Florida will be the biggest challenger along with Tulane 3rd and LSU 4th. If you are looking for when he can come visit us, we have coincidentally Tulane week 3 and USC week 5. We aren't going after a QB really, but might have to find one and schedule a complementary visit that week. Since USC is now ranked 14th that's likely the one with the biggest gain if we win. His deal breaker is playing time and we have A+ to offer which is huge. However, looking at the other 2 for a potential hard sell we don't like our chances of getting B in them with our best bets being Champ contender, coach prestige and brand exposure. Which means we likely have to use the sway option.
We have never wanted a high school more and we will anxiously be checking every week and hope to land him
________________________________________________________________
We have an update on the most wanted recruit in Hazzard history the 6’6 and 269 pound Alexander Prosinski. We are in week 1 now and slick talking Boss Hogg has got Hazzard in the top spot with Florida shaping up to be the biggest competition. Some more good news the In state power LSU along with Tulane have dropped. While a bit scary UGA have moved up. He is still in the top 8 stage so we don’t know yet what he is in outside of playing time. We don’t have a lot of good grades for other pitches so we may have to sway. We have a big home game coming up vs top 10 USC in week 5 so we are hoping to get him in for a visit that week. We are also going after a 4* QB now so we can pair with him
_________________________________________________________________________
Alexander prosinski as we have said the player boss wants so much he is willing to do whatever it takes to land him got some amazing news this week. He is down to 5 schools and we still lead with Florida, Tulane, Nebraska and Georgia behind us. This did get the in state LSU with the best pipeline state out of the way. That’s not the best news as we knew we would make the cut since we were #1. Some bad news first he didn’t reach his top 5 until it was too late to schedule a visit with USC a top 10 team. We will now have him come I’m vs port canaveral a bad team. We do have a QB coming in with him
We knew we could offer A+ playing time which was his deal breaker and the bad news the other top teams like UGA and Florida also can offer that. We only had a few things we could sell him with rated B or better to hard sell and we figured this would be why we lost out on him. Due to process of elimination we know we have A+ and B+ in champ contender and brand exposure a massive win. This means the experts now have us projected to land him after he visits us week 7
_______________________________________________________________________
The big TE didn’t get to visit vs the top 10 team USC, but in the end it might not matter. He loved his visit and when Uncle Jesse gave him his word he would start next year that went a long way on his #1 deal breaker of playing time . He did narrow the schools from 5 to 3 and got Tulane and Nebraska out of the way. Getting Nebraska out of the way his massive as he has now canceled his trip to them. We do think next week we could commitment and we need it as a visit to UGA is coming up soon. Unless something crazy happens we will get out first ever 5* TE and it was a recruiting Chase for ages
_______________________________________________________________________________
For the first time in Hazzard school history, we have a 5* coming in and its one we will always remember. A epic recruiting battle which we have had extensive coverage of as we get Alexander Prosinski to come to Hazzard. It must have been fate as his #1 dealbreaker was playing time and we had A+ to offer. We don't have a pipeline in Louisiana, but after initially offering LSU backed off. The other schools we were fighting with that are much bigger and better than us like Florida and UGA also had playing time to offer which worried us. However, the day before he was set to visit Nebraska and possible jump us he decided to lock them out and get to down to 3 schools. We really only 1 possible pathway to hard sell him on and that just happened to be what he was interested in. Despite only getting to visit vs a small school the pairing with a QB worked out and we got the epic jumbo TE in fold.
He is athlete pure possession type which means he can catch, block and run which every team wants. The 5 special abilities he will have access to are sure hands, strong grip and outside shield as the main 3 and then to a lesser degree wear down and balanced. Which means not really a terrible one in the bunch with hands and grip being the early focus. He also has 3 mental abilities silver clearheaded and fan favorite and bronze best friend.
He already comes equipped with 84 catching, 83 catch in traffic and bronze sure hands. The 85 speed and 85 acceleration has us guessing that will only have a little bit of upside. The 81 strength and 65 run block means that will be good enough to start as a true freshman. Uncle Jesse has already given him his word he will line up at flexbone FB and get some carries in the redzone.
Now we will wait till next week where the last piece of the puzzle comes out and that's the important dev trait. Since he wasn't a bust we are assuming its at least impact

I'm glad to be here so I'm glad I did as well. I was guilty of not reading along lately to others so will have to do better. It looks like the attention will be a breath of fresh air. I don't typically write a ton as that can be time consuming just had to catch up on things.
I typically play 2 games a night, so I've learned a balanced on what works on posting mixed with having fun playing the game. So from now on should be less to read

Best Player =FS Juan Alvarado (93 ovr)
Best Returning Starter = FS Juan Alvarado
Freshman Impact =LB Clyde O'Connor (92 speed)
Breakout Player = DE Fred Feeley (83 ovr)
X Factor = DE Deshaun Soroh (83 ovr)
Underrated = DT James Saubert
Strength = DB's
Weakness = LB's
_________________________________________
3 Biggest Questions
1. Can the pass defense duplicate last year in the SEC?
2. Will this be the year we get a 12+ sack guy?
3. Can the speedy but unproven LB's hold up?
__________________________________________________________________________
Scouts Take
This DE group is very good the best Hazzard has had maybe ever with a lot of NFL bodies. The guy about to explode is that sophomore Feeley his quick jump is as good as it gets. Them getting Saubert back after entering the portal was big was huge he had 7 sacks last year and gives them a proven DT with those DE. The elite young S may have gotten too good as I think both leave for the NFL after their sophomore year. The DB room is fast and so are the LB's. If the pass rush is as good as it should be they will be one of the nation's best defenses. The X factor is Soroh the Athlete TE he now has block shedding to go with the athleticism
DL Preview
The DL group is loaded Jimmy Chyrplewicz (87) has improved as a rush DE. But he had just 3.5 sacks at rush DE so we want more. Grant Redmond just 7.5 sacks and will get a chance to also play rush DT this year. He has platinum grip breaker and take down and is just a junior. Fred Freely (83) a freaky athlete with 95 accel and platinum quick jump will see a much larger role. The former athlete TE Soroh (83) another big time athlete with 92 speed and 98 agility just no abilities. James Saubert with 7 sacks last year is back and now has platinum take down. Ben Humphries (79) a redshirt freshman with star dev is DT #2. We have enough depth at DL to only have Redman play every snap so we will be able to keep the rush DL separate then the base DL. This is one of the best DL Hazzard has had, but we need to get more sacks then we have the last few years.
LB Preview
A change of pace we didn't go to the portal for LB and will rely on more unproven speedy types this year. Senior Kaleb Burt with 89 speed will get first crack with 4 other similar fast guys also as options. The big name is redshirt freshman Clyde O'Conner a 92-speed thumper, but isn't good in coverage. With a pretty stacked DL and DB group we are hoping to get by with a little worse LB then usual. We think we have enough speed at LB to make up for the lack of a NFL body like we have had the previous years. We spent our portal resources on other positions as we are counting on a big year for the freshman O'Conner. We don't need any injures here as we are low on bodies.
DB Preview
The CB room is loaded and after a big offseason 6'2 97 speed Jermaine Burns (89) takes over as the #1.Sophomore Cade Hassenauer will be #2 with his 96 speed, gold blanket coverage and platinum quick jump and lay out. Cade had 87 tackles and 9 PBU last year and is even better this year. Sophomore Dylan Toney (87 ovr) with 94 speed at 6'2 with gold blanket coverage will be the slot. The elite dev redshirt sophomore duo is back, and Juan Alvarado is the best player on the team (93) after 73 tackles last year. He has 96 speed, 99 zone and platinum robber. Alfonso Grymes lead the team with 107 tackles last year and could also go pro after just his 2nd year playing. He is a more balanced type with platinum blow up and gold knockout. This unit was top 10 in the country and return basically everyone, but will face tougher competition.

Best Player = HB Tejada (93 ovr)
Best Returning Starter = HB Tejada
Freshman Impact =TE Prosinski (79 ovr)
Breakout Player = TE Prosinski
X Factor = HB George Onwualu (91)
Underrated = WR Jalen Brigance (87)
Strength = HB room
Weakness = C
_________________________________________
3 Biggest Questions
1. How will QB Cesario do after a breakout year with 31 total TDs and 8 Int?
2.Can Tejada win the Heisman?
3. How will the first ever 5* Alexander Prosinski do as a true freshman?
__________________________________________________________________________
Scouts Take
They did throw it a little more last year and it was a little different offense then usual with less triple option. The QB can still move some, but he is much slower than who they usually have at QB. The OL is better this year with the addition of a few portal guys not a crazy amount of depth, but they have a pair of big strong OG's that are perfect scheme fits. They HB room as always is loaded all those former 3* contact seekers are now 5th year seniors. Tejada will get the attention coming off the Doak Walker award, but Manzo has big time ability at the flexbone FB and this is year 3 for him starting. Gay gives them power, Gosset gives them speed and Onwuala gives them a pass catcher. This run game is so dominate you have to load the box to stop them and now they have a QB and pass catchers to make you pay.
QB Preview
Cesario is back and made this Hazzard offense a little more balanced this past year still under 2,000 passing yards, but had 25 passing TDs. A kind of average arm strength, but great accuracy with platinum step up and gold on time. He isn't a burner but mid 80's speed enough to make some plays rushing. He is a junior and graded out 88 so could go pro after this year. The 94 speed Junior Office with platinum magician is ready as the backup plus a solid looking 3rd string that came over in the portal.
HB Preview
Roman Tejada (93) easily could win the Heisman after being top 5 a year ago with 1,348 rush yards, 400+ receiving yards and a boatload of TDs. He has basically 99 in all speed plus platinum downhill and 86 trucking. Junior George Onwualu (92) with platinum safety valve and headfirst will carve out a role somewhere likely power HB. Jahlil Gosset (85) is another 4.2 guy that had 500 rushing yards last year. George Gay is a senior power back with 99 trucking and 97 break tackle. Anthony Spoon (92) likely gets drafted as a junior despite never even getting on the field much.
Blocking & Flexbone FB Preview
With Cribbs off to the NFL after just 2 years playing its utility FB Vick that will take over as the blocking FB. He has just 85 run block and 79 lead block so is a bit of a downgrade. He does have gold safety valve so a more balanced type as a former TE. We have some TEs we will play at #2 FB while we redshirt a blocking FB. Ben Manzo is the flexbone FB again after back-to-back 700+ yard seasons with 6 TD each. A beast with 99 agility, 99 break tackle,93 with platinum downhill. His 99 acceleration is key on those FB dives. One of the senior TEs will play the backup FB role in the Maryland type I formations.
WR Preview
We are thin in numbers here just 5 and will redshirt 2 so we need some luck with health. The 6'6 Jalen Brigance (87) is the #1 after an impressive 48-420-4 TD season. He has platinum 50/50 and gold sure hands and press pro with some route running as well. We expect a major year and if he comes back next year could break some school records. The #2 comes over from the portal and we are excited about him Ron Van Dyke after just 300 career yards at Boston College. He is a 6'3 contest specialist with 4 abilities and 89 strength and 69 run blocking. True freshman Mitch Dalton will be the #3 with some TE's filling in if injury happens
TE Preview
We have 6 TEs on the roster, but the only one that matters is Alexander Prosinki. The first ever 5* we got a 6'6 and 269 pounder that will also get some FB carries. He already grades out mid 80's in speed and hands, and we just have to get his production good and get to the offseason. With his elite dev he will look worlds better in year 2. He will likely focus in season on blocking. We may be guilty of force feeding him at times. Noah Willingham (86) will be the #2 a balanced type of player with a pair of fellow seniors behind him. Damarious Bynum (85) a undersized senor portal guy from Bama not sure where he will fit in.
OL Preview
Cesar Amaro is back and will move to the LT elite abilities like platinum strong grip, gold workhorse and inside shield. Senior Chad Bess (83) with 90 run block, platinum grip breaker and gold ground N Pound will start at LG. Robert Hatch (87) a beast at 334 pounds with 90 run block, platinum grip breaker and inside shield starts at LG. Gideon Cox (86) a portal add with 91 run block and 4 total abilities starts at RT. C is a question mark with Sophomore Jason Gibbs taking over with just 84 run block. However, he has platinum quick step, outside shield and option shield. The 6'8 sophomore Shaq Okine will be a key backup.

A big test for our first ever SEC game on the road vs the 97 overall Ole Miss. Cesaro drops back to pass and the middle parts like the red sea, and he takes it in for a 20-yard TD. Power HB Gay would add a 19-yard TD and we are up 14-3 at half. Ole Miss wins the 3rd quarter 11-3, but Hazzard scores a pair of TDs in the 4th to secure a 31-14 win. One of those the first ever TD from the 5* Prosinski who lines up at FB.This was a game we likely should have won by more as we won the yardage game 532-260 and turnover +1. We even won the 3rd down game 58% to 33 and got all of our 4th downs. A good first test for this pass defense of being able to do it in the SEC giving up just 205 yards. The 4 TD's all came from different people
5 Game Balls vs Ole Miss
CB Hassenauer = 9 tackles, 1 TFL, 3 PBU
CB Burns = 8 tackles, 1 PBU
S Alvarado = 6 tackles, 1 INT
HB Tejada = 14 carries for 148 yards
HB Gossett = 7 carries for 40 yards, 3 catches for 63 yards, 42 return yards
______________________________________
Minnesota State have given us more headaches than any team over the last decade as we saw them twice a year in the sunbelt usually. I don't think we beat them until about year 4. For whatever reason this one was never close and we have our biggest win ever vs them 66-10. They are a 80 overall so not quite as good as they usually who were wearing the Orlando Breaker uniforms for this one. We did have a odd sequence we tackle them about 2 yards in the endzone and it's not ruled a safety. We then block a punt and get a TD from it. We would also return a Punt for a TD
5 Game Balls vs Minnesota State
DE Redman = 5 tackles, 3 TFL, 2.5 sacks
DE Chryplewicz =4 tackles, 3 TFL, 2 sacks
TE Prosinski - 7 catches for 71 yards, 0 drops, 8 Rush yards
HB Gossett = 8 carries for 54 yards, 2 TD & 18 Receiving yards & 143 PR yards,1 TD
HB Manzo = 5 carries for 56 yards, 1 TD
________________________________________________________________
The final game of this stretch vs Arkansas one of the weakest teams in the conference now that Vandy isn't around and its at home. Hazzard got off to a big first quarter with 21 points a pair of TD's from the speedy Gosset. The like 5th string HB might be off to a better start then Heisman hopeful Tejada. Tejada and flexbone FB Manzo would also get in the endzone with longer runs as well. A late TD by Arkansas makes it look somewhat close with a final score of 42-24. The yardage battle close in this one 481-325 and we gave up 300 through the air. The 5* TE did get his first receiving TD late.
5 Game Balls vs
HB Tejada = 7 carries for 86 yards, 1 TD & 1 catch for 24 yards
HB Gossett = 5 carries for 80 yards, 2 TD
HB Manzo = 9 carries for 68 yards, 1 TD
LB Tutt = 8 tackles, 4 TFL, 2.5 sacks
OT Cox = 7 pancakes, 0 sacks
