In the current conference setup, they are in the American, so it does make a little more sense why the could roll to a 12-0 record. They are a 76 Overall which happens to be the 2nd highest rated in the conference.. Southern Miss is actually rated higher at 79 Overall and is who they beat to win the Conference Championship.

COUGARS FINISH STRONG

Washington State made it 2-0 vs the Hurricanes as the Cougars claim yet another Holiday Bowl Trophy to add to the schools trophy case.

The Cougars led by just 4 points at the half (14-10) and (24-16) at the end of the 3rd Quarter led by a trio of touchdowns from Calvin Loyd to Brayden Trimble as Trimble breaks the WSU and the Pac-12 record for most TD's in a season with his 20th of the year breaking records held by Lester Creer.

WSU would dominate the 4th Quarter picking off Miami QB Anthony Treggs for a 2nd and 3rd time setting up 2 more touchdowns by Loyd as he finds Carter Pabst for touchdowns #12 and #13 as he sets a new personal best extending the Cougars lead to (38-16) WSU would continue to pile on the points as SR Adali Lounsbury connects on a pair of FG's and after a 24 yd touchdown run by Clint Powell as WSU scores 27 unanswered in the 4th.

Treggs finished the game 15/43 (34%) throwing for 158 yds with 1 TD and 3 INT and as a team Miami had just 291 yds of Total Offense.

DUCKS CROWNED 2029 CHAMPS

The Oregon Ducks are your 2029 National Champions, but the biggest story of the 2029 Playoffs wasn't the Ducks winning but who they beat.

#12 seed Michigan lost to #5 Seed Ohio State during the regular season (49-30) but got it's revenge when it mattered most knocking the former #1 ranked Buckeyes out of the playoffs with a 44-41 victory in Round 1.

#9 Boise State and #8 Mississippi State entered the playoffs as the only 2 undefeated teams and the Bulldogs emerged victors with a (42-31) victory becoming the only home team to advance in Round 1.

#11 Clemson beat #6 USC (37-34) to advance as did #10 Penn State who beat #7 Tennessee (30-24).

After starting with 5 teams in the Big Ten in the playoffs the conference remained strong as #12 Michigan keeps it's underdog story going with a (24-23) win over #4 Oklahoma, well #10 Penn State continued playing the upset role defeating #2 Colorado (33-24) to advance as well.

#3 Oregon handled #11 Clemson and becomes the only Top-4 seed to advance as #8 Mississippi State takes down #1 seed UNC (35-30).


With #12 Michigan taking on #8 Miss State in the Rose Bowl semi's, 1 underdog story would continue well another's dream comes to a end as Michigan cruises to a (41-13) victory to set up the Big Ten finale as #3 Oregon lights up the scoreboard dropping 59 points in their (59-38) win over #10 Penn State.

After scoring 44 in Round 1 and 41 points in Round 3, the Wolverines Offense runs out of gas in the Natty putting up just 10 points against the Ducks as Oregon cruises to a (35-10) victory..

SAYING GOODBYE

22 Seniors, 1 Early entry and 3 Portal decisions leave Coach Moore looking to fill 26 scholarships this off-season.

RS JR Tashaun Dragos (90) has officially declared for the draft, but the RB room did good some good news as fellow RS JR Clint Powell (88) has agreed to come back after signing a new NIL deal with "Coug" Nation that will most likely make him more money next year then Dragos will get in the draft.

With a very talented QB room, Coach Moore knew that at least 2 of his 5 QB's on the roster would make a decision to leave and he wasn't wrong as former 4* Johnathan Provo (77) and 3* Julius Flowers (75) have announced their decision to join the transfer portal.

Provo a Redshirt Sophomore appeared in 9 games over 3 seasons for the Cougars throwing for 1024 yds with 7 TD and 3 INT. Flowers a Redshirt Junior has ran the scout team for the past 4 seasons but did appear in 2 games this past season completing 31/46 attempts (64%) for 246 yds with 3 TD and 1 INT.

The big shock to everyone was the announcement of Sophomore Punter Juan Chavez (83).. Chavez has been the Cougars primary punter the past 2 seasons logging 87 punts with a 42.4 Avg and a 36.0 Net. Chavez was expected to also take over PK duties next season.

COUGARS LAND #29

For a 4th straight year, Coach Kirby Moore has brought a Top-30 class to Pullman as the Cougars sign 20 players for the 2029 class coming in ranked at #29 Overall and the #2 Class in the Pac-12.

Moore well known for his work with the transfer portal once again was hard at work replacing a departing 26 players with proven talent as the Cougars sign 10 players out of the Portal (Ranked #17).

"Typically we would've liked to have come away with a few more high school recruits but 4 of our transfer portal players are Redshirt Freshman and another is a Redshirt Sophomore so we feel like we did a solid job of landing guy's who have already had a chance to prove they can play at the college level. We believe of the 10 transfers that 7 of them have a chance to start for us this season or at least be productive players off our bench., and when bringing in guy's from other schools that's what you want to find"

Landing a pair of 1000 yd rushers to push for the #2 RB role behind Powell and another 1000 yd WR to give Loyd a solid #2 option with Wayne was huge. FB Nyles Kugbila will slot in and start at FB, and Garner and Hasty both push my trio of 4* recruits from last year. and at least be huge upgrades off the bench.

Missed out on alot of potential O-lIne starters and Egboh looks like he is more likely a backup. I signed Strong to be my PK but also threw a scholarship back at Chavez who left via the Portal and he resigned so now I got options. Chavez could just stick to punting but he has a solid leg (92 KPW and 89 KAC) so he will likely get a shot at some Field Goals kicks.

Worrilow becomes the first 5* Recruit to sign with Coach Moore.. The Utah Gatorade POY kept going back and forth and looked like he was going to sign with Boise State but at the end of the day (Week 4) he becomes the highest rated recruit to come to Pullman in the Coach Moore era.. He will be a instant starter at LT

Dwyer and Finger continue the Cougars trend of landing talented 4* WR's but only Lester Creer has ever been able to crack the starting lineup Day 1, so look for both players to likely redshirt.

With the additions of Owens and Boulware from the Portal 4* RB Niles Swoop will redshirt well 3* RB Garrison Wolf appears to be headed to FB where he will redshirt and likely take over starting duties in 2031.

BULLDOGS/BUCKEYES BATTLE FOR #1

Coach Kirby Smart and Georgia have walked away with the #1 Recruiting Class the past 2 season's and they they did it yet again edging out Ohio State signing a pair of 4* recruits on the final day to finish with 264.15 points (34 Recruits, 5-5*, 29-4*)

Ohio State ended up coming in a close 2nd landing 32 Recruits matching Georgia's 5* total (5) well landing 27-4* for a total of 262.95 points.

Both teams got there by landing the top high school talent in the nation as Georgia signed just 3 players form the Portal and Ohio State just 2.

Oregon coming off their National Championship win landed the #3 Overall Class but unlike Georgia and Ohio State, the Ducks went after top talent in the Portal landing 9 players bringing their class total to 25 players (2-5*,15-4*,8-3*).

2030 THE RETURN OF THE PAC-12/14

NCAA Commish Bryan Scott Jungling has officially announced that after 3 months, the NCAA has made their final decisions for the 2030 season with plans to revisit the decision again in 2035.. Well some conferences didn't really change much (ACC/SEC) we did see some major changes including the return of the Pac-12/14 which once again makes a major impact on the Big Ten/Big 12 and Mountain West.. Well the new Pac-14 appears to have taken the drivers seat in recreating a Power 5 dynamic once again, the American Conference was hard at work creating a 14 team conference that hopes to at least stay among the leaders of the non-power 5.
