Trailing twice against Mainz, then winning 3-2, that's a brilliant result before the second leg.
Kean on fire there, two goals and an assist. I loved the cheeky lob he performed there, great performance from the forward.

That cheeky lob was the second he has pulled off. I usually hit the keeper but have been lucky with a few lately.JustinCase wrote: ↑25 Feb 2026, 16:36Trailing twice against Mainz, then winning 3-2, that's a brilliant result before the second leg.

That goal lead will be needed in Germany. They are a tough team.

Leaked emails show Morreti’s future is at risk
The Italian is unbeaten since arriving to Fiorentina but without Europe, the record will not matter
March 14, 2026 |
Diego OttavianoFlorence, Italy - A leaked email sent to The Cult of Calcio shows the club is losing confidence in Matteo Moretti after Thursdays 3-2 victory over Mainz.
The email states “We have grown concerned with your recent results lately and have downgraded your job to Insecure. We really need some improved performances from you soon before we side any lower.”
The content of the email does raise questions for what the club is reviewing. Fiorentina are 5-2-0 under Moretti and have moved out of the relegation zone and into 15th. They also take a one goal lead into the second leg of Europe next week.
The board at La Viola are requiring a European position for next season, confirmed by Moretti himself. But the question still remains, why release this information now before an upcoming second leg? Why bring distraction to the club unless those inside the club are hoping to see the Italian fail.
This is a developing story with more to come in the final weeks of the season.

Solomon has featured only 9 times for La Viola this loan spell
Tottenham not happy with lack of Solomon minutes, Moretti not interested

Florence, Italy - Last night, Fiorentina fought back for a hard point in a 1-1 Serie A draw in Matteo Moretti's eighth (8th) match since joining the club. Fiorentina are still unbeaten in those matches, but the stories are not all positive. Last week, it was reported that the club was still unsure about Moretti's future. This week, only days before the most important match of Moretti's career, he finds himself answering more negative news.
Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur, are not happy with the lack of minutes their loan player Manor Solomon is receiving under Moretti. Solomon has not featured since the Italian took over just over a month ago. For the season, Solomon has featured nine times and scored two goals.
Moretti made his decision known and very clear when asked about the Spurs player. "Manor is a winger. I do not use wingers in my system. We play a straight 4-1-3-2 most games now, that is four defenders, four midfielders, and two strikers. There is no place for a winger. Manor is not the only one; other wingers at this club know the same. I told them all and was very honest and clear. The season is almost over, we are focused on results only right now, not developing our players for the future, and certainly not another club's players. Manor can stay here to train, or he can go to London; the choice is not mine. I coach the team, not manage the transfer dealings."
Fiorentina travel to Germany on Wednesday night to face Mainz 05 on Thursday in leg two of the Round of 16 Europa Conference League tie, the Italians lead 3-2 after the first leg.
