Make AFC AJAX Great Again

Despite having a mixed bag of results you are clinging onto 2nd place. Really big struggle here. And the head coach going is probably a good thing. Lets see what Marzec has up his sleeve. Any chance of bringing back some Ajax greats next season to help with the culture? Eriksen if not retired, Van De Beek,Ziyech and Antony. Stay awy from Onana though!

They're on the list of ex-Ajax players, but I doubt any of those are affordable and of added value. I usually keep to very strict budget limits in order not to make Career Mode to easy on me. Essentially it's 20-20 - never a higher fee than € 20 million and never a higher salary than 20k.

That is a nice boost for fans during a difficult season. Congrats on the trophy.

I've checked the whole database: there are currently 110 players in game (of which 19 still at Ajax) that have come through the Ajax Academy - so plenty of choice :)

I was honestly more bent for revenge- as in: beating the rival was more important than winning the cup.

Hopefully this gives you a launching off point for next season to take back the league.

We tried, we failed, we'll go at it again next season..., but there still is a ticket to the Champions League to secure

PSV's winning goal sounds similar to two goals conceded by the Denmark national team: Against Spain in the 1986 World Cup and against Italy in 1999 in the 2000 Euros qualifiers.

In 1986, Denmark were 1-0 up against Spain, when Jesper Olsen, a former Ajax player, made such a pass to Emilio Butragueno to equalize. Spain eventually won 5-1 with Butragueno scoring 4, and such a pass has since been called "a Jesper Olsen" in Denmark. Something that I've always found to be quite unfair, reducing such a gifted footballers name to a poor back pass.

In 1999, another Jesper, winger and Ajax-player, Jesper Grønkjær, made a similar pass just 38 seconds into his national team debut. I've often thought that the similarity of their mistakes must have something to do with their first name. But now, seeing Ajax do the same mistake for you, perhaps Ajax is the connection here ;)
