A season quite similar to the one of Sunderland IRL. Promoted, doing above expectation, dancing with the European places for a while, then a drop in form towards the end of the season, which takes them back to a position that is still arguably better than the one everyone expected.
The way I see it, you are still in a building phase, and entering the next season without European football can truly be a blessing in disguise.
Yeah I don't think this side is ready to cope with those demands yet. We'll need three centerbacks for example and I should probably move on from Mario Lemina, who is considering retirement, as the team's best holding mid.

We'll take it for sure. Never flirted with relegation, finished above mid-table. Can't complain.

That and I think we just kinda regressed toward the mean when other teams started to get out of fixture congestion hell.
