This is a big class we are losing with 20 seniors, 3 early to NFL and then 3 more to the portal. Overall for the amount of people we don't see any super major devastating losses. We lost a lot of bodies at OL and DB so those will be the biggest changes from the roster side of things.
Major Loss
OG Frank Henderson (91)
A well rounded OG that was just here for 1 year coming over from Iowa. He had 99 pass block, 93 run block with gold pocket shield. He makes the major loss because we don't have a lot of proven OG's on the roster that can automatically pick up where he was. We likely will have to do position changes or maybe grab a 4* in the portal.
DT James Saubert (88)
A home-grown player with 24.5 career sacks might be enough to get him the record books we will have to check. He wasn't flashy, but was consistent 5.5-7 sacks each of his 4 years. He also gets bonus points being from a tiny near Hazzard called Greenback TN. He had 92 strength,92 block shed, 89 power move with platinum take down.
DE Grant Redmond (95)
We signed this UGA transfer in the portal as a true freshman so he still played 4 years for us. One of the most talented DL we have ever had and that's why he was a 1st round pick. He had 95 power move, 98 strength, mid 80s speed. 86 block shed, 96 tackle, 96 pursuit with platinum grip breaker and take down and gold pock disruptor.
CB Cade Hassenauer (95, leaves early)
He will likely go down as the best CB in school history once we get that list updated. The 1st round NFL pick a 3-year starter with 218 tackles, 19 TFL, 6 INT, 34 PBU. He made some clutch plays for us including some in the title game. He had 3 platinum abilities blanket coverage, lay out and quick jump mixed with 96 speed, 98 play rec, 88 zone, 96-man, 99 change of direction
CB Dylan Toney (92, leaves early )
We had a chance to talk him back, but unfortunately, we couldn't so he leaves early for the NFL. He was 6'2 with 94 speed, 96 zone, 97 awareness with just 79 man. He also had gold jammer which is odd as he wasn't good with man coverage. He put up a lot of stats including 92 tackles this past year. He finishes his career with 150 tackles, 13 TFL, 1 sack, 3 INT, 20 PBU
SS Alfonso Grymes (94)
A 3-year starter that looking back we shouldn't have redshirted as we were lucky to get him back for this year. Another player that's likely the best S we have ever had. He had 294 tackles, 34 TFL, 1 sack, 2 INT, 24 PBU. He had 93 pursuit, 91 speed, 91 zone, 94 man, 94 play rec with platinum blow up and gold knockout. So a pretty well rounded type of player.
Mild Loss
QB Rafael Cesario (94)
The career TD holder might seem wrong not being on the major list. He was the backup this year after losing his job to a true freshman. He ends with 68%, 4,467 yards, 52:27. A pocket passer with 2 platinum accuracy abilities so deadly accurate as a pocket passer type still with 85 speed enough plays to make a few plays with his legs
HB Jason Kugbila (92)
He came over from Oregon as a WR and now can add a 1,00 yard rushing season and 11 TD's to his NFL resume. If we didn't have so much depth at HB he easily could have put up more stats. He had 96 speed, 97 accel, 99 change of direction, 92 break tackle and platinum shifty. The only reason he isn't on the higher list is all the depth we have coming back at the position
HB Tye Stewart (94)
A 1-year player coming over from Army had 602 yards and 4 TD and was also the main KR/PR. He had 99 speed, 99 accel, 98 agility, but he was a backfield threat so didn't have the speed abilities to go with it.
WR Ron Van Dyke (89)
In our offense is never going to put up big stats, but did have 7 TD's and 45 catches. A perfect scheme fit for us at 6'3 with 73 run blocking. Was a 2 year starter
OT Gideon Cox (89)
A 2-year starter after coming over from Arkansas. He had platinum outside and option shield as well as gold inside shield. When you add in 93 strength and 95 run blocking you have someone that will be missed.
OG Devin Sams (86)
Even though he was mostly a career backup he was capable of starting. He had gold inside shield, silver ground N pound with 85 run blocking. A solid career for a 3* with normal dev and limited upside.
OG Deonte Hester (89)
Another mostly career backup type, but with a high overall was capable of starting. He had 88 run block, 95 run power and 98 strength just only 1 silver strong grip ability.
DT Bryce Michaud (86)
A huge sack in the championship game cements his legacy. He came over from TN so was here 2 years and had 5 of his 6 career sacks for us this year. He was more of a run stopper with 82 block shed, 91 strength and not much pass rushing skills
DT Brian O'Reilly (89)
He was just here 1 year, and it was a disappointing one with just 0.5 sacks after getting 9.5 at Cal. It wasn't for lack of ability he just got beat out by others. He had 82 block shed, 86 speed, 89 accel with mid 80s in both moves
CB Josh Quaccia (94)
Made the most of his 1 year here and helped a pass defense that turned it on down the stretch. He had 54 tackles, 3 PBU and 1 INT as the nickel CB. Despite a 94 rating nothing super flash with his game just 1 ability and it was gold jammer. He was 6'1 with 92 speed, 94 zone, 93 awareness
CB Nick Ball (89)
He was never a full-time starter, but played a good amount the last 2 years. He had 84 tackles with 2 career interceptions. He had platinum blanket coverage, 99 man, 97 zone and also played some safety for us
