Week 8 Preview: vs. Tennessee Volunteers
Record: 3-3, 0-3 SEC
Head Coach: Shane Beamer
Offensive Scheme: Power Spread
Defensive Scheme: 4-2-5

Team Schedule
vs. Tennessee Tech (FCS): W 28-16
at Ohio (5-2): W 37-19
vs. Sam Houston (3-3): W 38-14
at #18 Texas (6-1): L 27-17
vs. #5 Clemson (6-1): L 59-14
at Florida (5-2): L 38-30

Team Leaders
Passing: Iosefa Cox 59 cmp%, 1702 yards, 11 TD, 8 INT, 132.8 passer rating
Rushing: Clarence Pratt 367 yards, 6.4 ypc, 5 TD
Receiving: Theo Bland 42 receptions, 523 yards, 3 TD
Defense: Kareem Adongo 29 tackles, 11 TFL, 5.5 sacks

Injuries
None

Players to Watch
Image QB Iosefa Cox (R-Sr) | 6′3″, 233LBS | 82 OVR, 80 SPD, 88 ACC, 74 AWR, 87 THP, 85 SAC, 80 MAC, 85 DAC
It's been downhill for Cox since their loss to Texas where he played well, throwing for 323 yards and two touchdowns. Since then, it's been six interceptions in two games and he's failed to complete more than 59 percent of his passes, including a career low 6.6 yards per attempt against Clemson. This Stanford defense is humming and will make life difficult for Cox.

Image HB Clarence Pratt (R-Sr) | 5′9″, 182LBS | 98 OVR, 91 SPD, 92 ACC, 99 COD, 89 CAR, 99 BTK, 96 SPM, 99 JKM
The Vols best path to winning would be to establish the running game and they'll need a big day from Pratt. He's elevated into a feature role after splitting carries last year and still finishing with eighteen touchdowns. He's been effective when getting the ball this season, averaging 6.4 yards per carry but is only averaging 61.2 yards per game. He'll need a bigger load(pause)after carrying the ball just eight times in each of the last three games.

Image S Gabe Fatinikun (Sr) | 6′1″, 216LBS | 84 OVR, 84 SPD, 89 ACC, 91 COD, 75 MCV, 96 ZCV, 74 TKL
Fatinikun will have his hands full as he will need to both help slow down Rodney Cookus at receiver while also providing help against the run. He's a fourth-year starter for the Vols and the leader of this defense which has struggled in recent weeks. Sam Houston and Texas really went after Fatinikun and Stanford will likely try to do the same.

Hard Rock Bet™
Spread: Stanford -3.5
Moneyline: Tennessee +140
Over: 59.5

Place your bets and I'll keep track of your winnings/loss throughout the season. The winner's (by percentage with a minimum of 16 bets placed) team of choice will get a rating's bump and choose which conference to be the commissioner of for the following season to select my schedule. The second place will have second choice on which conference and so forth for third and fourth place.
