Hazzard Country- Good ol' Boys, This time meaning Harm
This is the weakest my DB have been in a very long time. So when you add that into me loading up the schedule with elite teams it will be a tough year.
A peak behind the curtain
I had planned on posting the first 2 games which I played on Friday and had the highlights ready to go. Then I found out one of my really good friends passed away and even though it was somewhat expected wasn't in the mood to post or really play this weekend.
Since I do take 2 games a year where I just watch and jump in a few times per game. The 3rd game vs a bad Mississippi state was a good choice for that. Also, there was the best S prospect I've seen I was going after definitely the best from the 4* ranks. He was a 4* gem coverage specialist which is my fav and he had 96 speed. He locked me out because play style and then after that Mississippi game I got back in the hunt. I was playing top 10 LSU and a bad game passing would lock me out of that S I really wanted. I decided to just watch that one as well. Since in those games they gave up less yards than I would playing and that worked out. After that I played just my 3rd game of the year vs a top 5 Auburn team and looked unbelievable.
I've got a bad controller so I've been using it for recruiting and just looking at stuff. The problem is it goes haywire at times and when I advanced a week and it somehow simmed the rest of the season. Thankfully I caught it and it only simmed 3 weeks in the middle of the year. Since this is a online dynasty nothing I can do to go back.
I think all 3 teams I played were ranked and a few of them in the top 10. Which of course means a few losses, thankfully I'll still make the playoffs if I win out. While I did get a lot of commits during this time I lost out on that Safety I really wanted and I could have scheduled some visits with him and likely got him. I also missed out on that last time to really scout new 4* in that mid season. Also my stats are all thrown off so no Heisman for my HB which I prob could have won. I also don't think I'll be able to get my TE to win the TE of the year award as he has just 200 something yards and 6 TD. I can may spam stats and get that one. I'm really wanting to end this with him winning TE of the year for 3 straight years
Speaking of ending this I do always like to take a few months off before 27 comes out so I do plan on retiring when my TE graduates which is now 1.5 years away.
Also I'm supposed to be going on a last-minute type cruise in 2 weeks. So as a single guy this will either be the coolest thing I've ever done or the dumbest (long story). So that's got my attention and side tracked me as well. I'll get something up later maybe more summary then usual and get caught back up

2036 Is Underway
We start off with a game on the road vs the Minnesota State Screaming Eagles. When we were a new program in the sunbelt, they were the big dogs, and we didn't think we would ever beat them. Now the roles have changed, and we are the favorites still they are a quality team. We score 2 TDs in the first to jump off to a lead, but it comes from unusual suspects our blocking FB and blocking TE. The 2nd half was all about our new portal HB Hubbard who ends up with 142 yards and 3 TD on just 13 carries highlighted by an 83-yard run. We win this one easy 48-17 and our offense couldn't be stopped 645 yards including 459 on the ground. They still like always got us for 333 in the air. A good test in game 1 vs a borderline top 25 team on the road before the tough one next week @ Clemson . The bad news our star pass rush Fred Feeley got injured and will miss a month.
5 Game Balls vs Minnesota State
HB Hubbard (90) = 13 carries for 142 yards, 3 TD
LB O'Connor (85) = 11 tackles, 3 TFL, 1 PBU
CB Crothers (81) = 6 tackles, 1 TFL, 1 sack
QB Rawls (83) = 9/15, 40 pass yards, 76 rush yards, 1 TD
S Meyers (91) = 8 tackles
_________________________________________________________
Clemson a top 10 team on the road for us and we knew it was going to be a tough one. If you are wondering the 5* HB Nathan Takeoff, they stole from us is 4th string. They get on the board first and then we tie it up with awesome power run from our 246-pound contact seeker. The game would stay tied at 14 at half and then they hit a pair of FG's in the 3rd. In the 4th we hit a FG to make it 3 and then a massive diving TD by our 280-pound TE for the go-ahead score. The defense would then just a few plays ice the game when true freshman former 5* George Paxson recovers a fumble. It looked like he was down, but the refs didn't review it. We barely can run out the clock and we don't try and score in the final seconds. The Clemson defense was legit holding us to just 404 yards of offense.
5 Game Balls vs Clemson
HB Hubbard (90) = 13 carries for 106 yards
TE Prosinski = Go ahead TD
CB Butler (91) = 11 tackles, 1 TFL, 4 PBU
S Angel Johnson (89) = 8 tackles, 1 FF
DE Paxson (78) = 1 tackle, game clinching FR

Hazzard In Position For A Repeat ?
Hazzard has had a brutal schedule and as of this week have faced teams ranked 1,7,8,15,16, 25 plus 97 ranked Clemson. Hazzard rolled through Mississippi State and LSU beating them a combined 99 to 19. Then the top 5 Auburn came to town and it was domination 42-17 and we held their elite QB to 100 passing yards. Things were rolling beat another elite team top 10 UGA 31-28. Things would go south with back-to-back losses now #8 Florida beats us 27 to 20 Then #1 Alabama beats us 20-17. We would get back on track beating ranked Miami 17 to 6 and then Kentucky 21 to 3.
The good news despite the 2 losses all Hazzard has to do to make the playoffs is beat 70 overall South Carolina and 87 overall TN at home. We are currently rated 10th overall and we have a bye as well mixed as well in week 14 where maybe some upsets will happen. The SEC game isn't happening and maybe not even a home field first round game, but we still think Hazzard is the favorite to win back-to-back titles. We thought this would be the year for some awards to come to Hazzard, but thats not going to be the case. This isn't the year for flashy stats and things like that with Hubbard slowing down recently with 872 yards and 9 TD. We will need 2 huge games from TE Prosinki to move up the award list as he has 33-272-6.

Usually Uncle Jesse wins out and you don't see any crazy high stats and scores even in blowout wins. This time Boss Hogg won the battle and he did run the score up as Hazzard beats South Carolina 78 to 17. Hazzard 697 total offense with 396 of those on the ground. It wasn't like it was all starters playing as mostly backups played the 2nd half except for a few players. We did get out first look at true freshman QB Deontay Goda who is the faster one with just impact dev. He looked elite with 16 catches, 153 passing yards and 4 TD. It was Boss who designed the plan to get Alexander Prosinski a bunch of stats so he could win the TE of the year. That plan worked as he re wrote the Hazzard record books with uncle Jesse duke and now is back to #1 in the award race
5 Game Balls
QB Goda (81) = 9/12, 153 pass yards, 35 rush yards, 4 total TD
QB Leamon (86) = 18/20, 148 pass yards, 3 TD
TE Prosinski (86) = 16 catches, 153 passing yards and 4 TD
HB Caswell (85) = 9 carries for 130 yards, 2 TD
C Hufanga (83) = 12 pancakes, 0 sacks

Yea should be 2 easy ones and as you see the first one was. TN is rated pretty good like 87 overall, but its at my place. I should still get home field so should be just fine for the playoffs

Scott Frost Fired As OC
The 2nd straight update is here with Boss Hogg up to his evil ways. Scott Frost is the longtime OC in Hazzard the OC for 2 national titles and a projected 3rd this year. His offense almost every year is at the top of the country and he took over the powerbone offense that had been installed before he got here. It's a old school, smash mouth, power run, triple option type of offense and that's something Scott knows a lot about. He was a legendary option QB during his playing days at Nebraska so the perfect coach for this offense and he was a level 54. Scott's best skills is a scheme guru he excels at that even at the advanced tier. He also has some offense recruiting boost as well as all of the motivator tier 1 for offense. Boss Hogg had enough and fired him before we face Florida in round 1 of the playoffs.
Boss must have gotten word that our old OC Greg Harbough Jr would be interested in coming back as he just got fired from Iowa. Getting Greg back would be a massive addition as he is a talent developer and it would allow us to double up on those for the offense side of the ball. He also has interest for head in head coaching jobs Wisconsin and Purdue so its not a lock we would get him back. Despite Scott's success Boss was looking for a talent developer or strategist instead of a scheme guru. Since Hazzard is now a 4.5* school which is higher then it was the last time we had a opening he thinks it will attract better coaches. Ben Ballage with A grade for prestige as a recruiter and tactician is our DC. We think he will get to elite recruiter this offseason
