you'd like to see better passing numbers from McNasty, but that running game :obama:
McNasty, love it! Yeah he's sadly not a great passer but he makes up for it with his speed.

Hawai‘i Pulls Away Late to Defeat UCLA, Stays Perfect at 3–0

Pasadena, CA -- Behind another composed performance from quarterback Dermaricus Davis and a game-breaking fourth quarter, the Rainbow Warriors pulled away from UCLA for a 34–20 victory, improving to 3–0 and continuing their early-season march toward College Football Playoff contention.

Davis opened the scoring with a 4-yard touchdown run, capping a strong opening drive and setting the tone for an offense that would consistently generate explosive plays. UCLA answered with a 42-yard field goal, but the Warriors remained firmly in control.

In the second quarter, Hawai‘i began to stretch the field.

After a 42-yard field goal from Sean McFarland, Davis connected with Kam Adams-Parker on a 77-yard touchdown strike that pushed the lead to 17–3.

To their credit, UCLA didn’t go away quietly.

The Bruins chipped into the lead with a pair of field goals and later found the end zone on a 53-yard touchdown pass from Evan Herndon to Tyron LaRue, followed by a short rushing score from Herndon himself.

Despite being outplayed for much of the game, UCLA managed to keep things within reach entering the fourth quarter.

That’s when Hawai‘i separated itself.

Davis delivered one of the defining plays of the night, breaking free for a 25-yard rushing touchdown early in the fourth quarter to extend the lead.

Moments later, the defense delivered the knockout blow.

A UCLA pass was intercepted by Jaiden Patterson, who returned it 50 yards for a touchdown, turning a competitive game into a two-score cushion almost instantly.

From there, Hawai‘i controlled the tempo, adding a 47-yard field goal from McFarland to seal the win.

UNLV Survives Shootout, Wins on Walk-Off Field Goal, 41–38

Houston, TX --
In a game that had everything — explosive plays, wild momentum swings, and late-game drama — UNLV delivered when it mattered most.

Behind a sensational performance from quarterback Treston McMillan and a career night from his tight end Andrew Barker, the Rebels escaped with a thrilling 41–38 victory over Houston, capped by a 42-yard game-winning field goal by Rickie Rosenfels as time expired.

UNLV improves to 2–1, while Houston falls to 2–1 after a furious fourth-quarter comeback came up just short.

Houston struck first with a 7-yard touchdown run by Taji Atkins, but UNLV responded in the second quarter behind McMillan’s dual-threat ability. A 6-yard TD pass to Jordan Malau’ulu, followed by 6-yard rushing touchdown gave the Rebels a 17–7 lead heading into halftime, controlling tempo and finding balance offensively.

UNLV extended the margin in the third quarter with three field goals, including a 41-yarder and a 30-yarder from Rosenfels, pushing the lead to 23–10 heading into the fourth.

That’s when the game flipped.

The Cougars erupted for 28 fourth-quarter points, fueled by multiple touchdown runs from Atkins and a scoring strike from quarterback Drew Overton.

Suddenly, what had been a comfortable UNLV lead turned into a shootout.

With under three minutes to play, Houston tied — and briefly took control of momentum — setting the stage for a dramatic finish.

When UNLV needed a response, McMillan and Barker delivered.

The redshirt junior tight end finished with a career-high 229 yards and a touchdown. But his biggest contributions came on the final drive. With the game on the line, Barker caught passes of 14 and 12 yards to put his team in field goal range.

With the clock winding down, Rosenfels trotted onto the field and delivered the decisive blow.

His 42-yard field goal as time expired split the uprights, silencing the Houston crowd and sealing one of the most dramatic wins of the early season.
