Justin Jefferson shines in return to Minnesota as Titans pace Vikings 42-7
Justin Jefferson was well on his way to Canton when the Minnesota Vikings decided to trade the star receiver to Tennessee for a king's ransom. In Jefferson's first game back in Minnesota, he proved to be worth it as he caught two touchdown passes in Tennessee's 42-7 drubbing of the Vikings.

"It's not personal at all," said Jefferson after the game, "This was a great chapter in my career, in my life. I have a lot of love for the Vikings organization and how they treated me and my family so it was a special feeling to come back here."

Minnesota's J.J. McCarthy could have used Jefferson, posting a 38.5 passer rating with two interceptions. Cam Ward, fresh off a $510 million extension, had three touchdown passes in the first half and finished the game with five, completing 77 percent of his passes for 334 yards.

The game was never competitive from the start with the Vikings going three-and-out on their first possession while Ward converted a third-and-seven with a 10-yard completion to Chimere Dike, the first of five straight completions with the last one going to Jefferson for a touchdown.

McCarthy would be intercepted on the next drive on third down, leading to a pair of 20-yard runs by Mark Fletcher Jr. that would setup Dike's touchdown on a jet sweep. A dozen plays later, the Vikings would have their third straight three and out while the Titans would find the endzone once more, aided by a 57-yard completion to Ja'Kobi Lane to begin the rout.
