No. 3 Hawai‘i Rolls Past Colorado State, 47–16, in Complete Road Performance

Fort Collins, CO -- The Rainbow Warriors delivered a dominant, all-phase performance Saturday, overwhelming Colorado State 47–16 at Sonny Lubick Field to remain unbeaten and firmly in the College Football Playoff conversation.

Hawai‘i wasted little time asserting control.

Quarterback Dermaricus Davis opened the game in rhythm, leading a crisp opening drive capped by a 15-yard touchdown pass to tight end Nate Roberts. From there, the Warriors never looked back.

After Colorado State trimmed the lead to 7–3 with a field goal, Hawaii’s defense delivered the first back-breaking play of the afternoon — a 47-yard fumble return for a touchdown by Collin Luna, swinging momentum firmly to the visitors.

What was a competitive game early quickly turned lopsided in the second quarter as Hawai‘i piled up 20 points in the period, mixing efficiency and explosiveness. By halftime, the Warriors had built a commanding 27–3 lead, silencing the home crowd and showcasing their balance on both sides of the ball.

Any thought of a Rams comeback was erased in the third quarter.

After Colorado State briefly found life with a long touchdown pass, Hawai‘i answered immediately. McFarland drilled a 59-yard field goal, and Davis followed with a 36-yard touchdown strike to Kam Adams-Parker, stretching the lead even further.

Moments later, the defense struck again.

A forced fumble turned into an 80-yard scoop-and-score by defensive tackle Jon McIver, the second defensive touchdown of the game, putting an exclamation point on an already dominant outing.

Colorado State managed a late touchdown, but it did little to change the narrative.

McMillan Makes History as UNLV Rolls Past Kansas, 38–22

Las Vegas, NV -- The lights were bright, the stakes were rising, and by the final whistle, history had been made.

Behind a record-setting performance from quarterback Treston McMillan, UNLV powered past Kansas 38–22 in a game that showcased both offensive firepower and timely defense. The win pushed the Rebels to 4–1 (2–0 Big 12 play), further cementing their place among the conference’s early contenders.

McMillan didn’t just lead UNLV to victory — he etched his name into the program’s record books. With his four touchdown passes on the night, the junior quarterback became UNLV’s all-time leader in career passing touchdowns.

From the opening drive, UNLV looked comfortable at home. McMillan found Darien Williams for a 15-yard touchdown midway through the first quarter, giving the Rebels an early lead they would never relinquish.

The second quarter saw UNLV break the game open. McMillan connected with Williams again — this time from 8 yards out — before Kamran Williams powered in a short rushing score. By halftime, the Rebels had built a commanding 21–0 advantage, fueled by efficiency through the air and balance on the ground.

Kansas, meanwhile, struggled to find rhythm against a UNLV defense that forced pressure, disrupted timing, and capitalized on a costly turnover deep in Jayhawks territory.

The Rebels kept their foot on the gas coming out of the break.

McMillan delivered the highlight of the night early in the third quarter, launching a 50-yard touchdown strike to Williams — his third scoring connection of the game. The explosive play pushed the lead to 28–0 and effectively put the contest out of reach.

Later in the quarter, McMillan added another touchdown pass, this time a 5-yard toss to Andrew Barker, capping a drive that showcased his command of the offense and ability to exploit mismatches in the red zone.

Kansas finally broke through with a short rushing touchdown and added points late, but the deficit proved too steep.

To their credit, the Jayhawks continued to battle in the fourth quarter, scoring twice and converting a two-point attempt to narrow the margin. But every push was met with composure from UNLV.

A late field goal from Rickie Rosenfels helped steady the Rebels and extinguish any hopes of a comeback, sealing the 16-point victory.

McMillan’s stat line told the story of both production and legacy. Efficient, poised, and explosive when needed, he orchestrated an offense that overwhelmed Kansas for much of the night.

More importantly, his performance marked a defining moment in his career — surpassing UNLV legends to become the program’s all-time leader in passing touchdowns (63), a testament to both his talent and consistency.
