Track III: Hell Of A Life x New Years Eve

"Yeah.. You are right about that, brotha.. But I have no complaints. My wife's just perfect. One of us had to give up that bachelor life, right?" Aaron said as he nudged Tiny.
"Shit. I've had my fair share of married life.."
"This man ain't ever leaving the single life ever again." Greg said with a grin as he took a sip of his drink.
"& looking around this room.. Shit, I can't blame my brotha right there because there are some fine ASS women in here tonight!" Aaron said.
"I'll drink to that." Tiny said as he toasted his teammates.
"You got any of these broads in here on your radar tonight?" Greg asked.
Tiny took a sip of his drink.
"Nah, man. These women are all gold diggers in here.. I'll end up on some Instagram story asleep in their bed if I did that. Besides, I'm here celebrating the New Year with you two.. My two best bros!" He said as he wrapped his arms around both of them.
"Pft... This muh'fucka.." Greg Brown said.
"Facts. But it's both of yall's final season as my teammate in the NBA. I wouldn't be anywhere else, man." Aaron replied with a nod.
"This NYE party is fun but it'll be even better to hold up that NBA trophy at the end of this season."
The three fellas cheered their drinks again & spoke to a few passerby's until Tiny spotted someone across the room.
"Oh shit.. That's her.."
"That's who??" Aaron & Greg both blasted as they looked in the direction Tiny was staring.
At that exact moment, a familiar face was visibly approaching Tiny at the New Years' Eve party.
"That's her. That's Noor.. I haven't spoken to her in a couple of weeks."
"Noor? You know her name, my boy?! I knew YOU couldn't say no to the hoes!" Greg said as he dapped up a laughing Aaron.
"Nah, man. I know her. She's the same woman who offered me her designer clothes sitting courtside that one time.."
"Wait, THAT'S her?!" Aaron asserted as she approached the three Suns' players.
"Not the outfit I would've picked for you tonight. All white?" The woman said with a smirk as she made her way to the group.
"Noor?! Hey, girl! What are you doing here tonight?! I didn't know you were coming.."
"Yeah probably because I didn't tell you.." she responded with a sarcastic look.
"It's good to see you.."
"...Good to see you, too. & for the record, I didn't know YOU were coming here tonight."
*AHEM*
"Uhh, Right.. These are my teammates.."
"Yes, I know them. Greg Brown & Aaron Christmas. It's nice to meet you two." Noor said as she acknowledged the two.
"You can just call me Aaron. It's a pleasure to meet you, Noor."
She shakes hands with Aaron Christmas while Greg introduces himself.
"I think this is the first time I've ever seen my boy at a loss for words. I gotta say though, you're absolutely right. All white to a New Years' Eve party? My boy Tiny was big trippin' tonight. But my denim though, let's go.." Greg said as he brought a laugh out of her.
"Exactly! It's not Summer time!" Noor responded.
"Yo, Greg." Aaron interrupted.
"Let's hit the bar, man. I need another drink for this countdown.. We'll catch you in a second, dog."
Tiny & Noor share an awkward moment together by the unexpected encounter before he breaks the silence.
"So, you really don't like my fit, huh?" Tiny says as he does a 360 with his drink still in hand.
"No.. I actually don't."
Tiny laughed at first, brushing the comment off as another joke.
"You know what, Noor?.." he said as she looked down at her feet, breaking eye contact.
" I'm happy to see you here.. How have you been?"
"I'm goooooood.. Just spending time at my shop. Business tends to slow down after Christmas so I've got some time to work on new designs.. How are you?"
"That's good. Hey, I'm looking forward to what you cook up next for me!"
"Mhmmm. We'll see what I can do for you.."
"I'm good, as well. Just busy with all of the traveling but it's nice to be back home for a few days.."
"10!" the crowd erupts.
"Ah, man. It's time already?!"
"9!"
"Guess so!"
"8!"
"I should probably go find my friends.." Noor implied as she began to turn around.
"7!"
"Wait! Or you can stay here with me.." Tiny rebutted.
"6!"
"You know, Noor. I haven't stopped thinking about you since I last saw you.." Tiny shouted but it was beginning to get hard to hear regular conversation over the crowd.
"5!"
Noor forced a small smile before looking down at the drink in her hand.
"4!"
"You say things like that & don't even understand what it does to somebody like me.."
"3!"
Suddenly, a drunk person stumbled between Tiny and Noor as the countdown around them became complete chaos. Greg laughed as he grabbed Tiny by the shoulder from behind.
"Almost that time! Noor, get in here & cheers with us!"
Tiny wrapped his arm around her waist & pulled her in close. Eye to eye.
"2!"
For a brief second, neither of them said anything at all. She didn't pull away.
"1!
"Happy New Year!" the entire party erupted.
"Happy New Year, my brothas! Let's end this final NBA season with a bang!" he announced, toasting his teammates in the middle of the crowd with an arm steadily wrapped around Noor.
"It's been one hell of a life, bro! Let's close your career out with a bang!" Aaron shouted as Noor was seemingly enjoying the entire moment.
Noor shook her head with a smile as the celebration around them became complete chaos.
"This was great, guys! I couldn't have imagined bringing in the New Year any better way. But I'm going to go back to my friends, now? Okay?"
Tiny nodded as she began to depart.
"You sure you don't want to kick it with us a little longer?"
"I really have to find my friends but this was fun. I'll be cheering for you to win that championship.." Noor said before disappearing into the sea of people.
"My guy.. You wanted to head home with something tonight, she's the ONE!" Greg Brown said as she was out of ear distance.
"She's different, bro. She's not like the rest of them.."
"....aight then bruh." Gred said as he shifted the conversation a different direction.
"Let's knock these shots back now because we have the Bucks today.." Greg said with a laugh.
Tiny enjoyed the rest of the New Years' celebration with his teammates & other partygoers before they finally decided to call it a night.
The Milwaukee Bucks will be in Phoenix on January 1st & a win here would snap a 2-game skid or a loss would push the Suns to a 3-game losing streak.
