Some season man! Quite a few changes in the team, but you have them tuned in now. Decent season in europe too. You have made great strides to get the mighty Ajax back on track. Good to see how you close out the season!

Thanks! Yeah, I'm trying to limit mutations as it is currently unrealistic, but two consecutive season in Champions League might open up some financial space...

THE MINIMAL ROUTE

- - Ajax booked a minimal win at Fortuna. But it was never a close contest: after an early goal, Ajax cruised to an easy victory
- - Marzec: "Today was minimal win, but we need to take the minimal route towards the title and that means: a win over PSV next week!"
- - NEC Nijmegen loses its European spot to cup finalists AZ. After a rocky season start, the Alkmaar side are finally in more familiar territory

It's not a bad idea to look FC Nordsjælland's way when it comes to young players. They are a club with almost no fanbase, but you can't say anything bad about their merits bringing young players through and selling them to bigger clubs.
Too bad with Mokio. I had expected him to be pivotal for you. It's frustrating when the game makes these decisions for you, so initial plans have to be changed. It's also realistic, I know, but still you could have had the vision of him as a future captain or something. Seems like you made the best of a poor situation though.

Not the end of the world, as I see Sean Steur as my future Deep Lying Playmaker. He's the next Frenkie de Jong, where as Mokio is more of a workhorse with stamina and physicality.JustinCase wrote: ↑21 May 2026, 05:39It's not a bad idea to look FC Nordsjælland's way when it comes to young players. AJAX FIGHTS BACK AFTER RED CARD

- Ajax dominated most of the first half going 1-0 up, but Joey Veerman surprised Ajax with a splitting 50 yard diagonal pass which allowed Denis Man free access towards goal: 1-1.
- Things went terribly wrong for Ajax in the second half. Ringo Meerveld was sent off after he floored Ricardo Pepi who was free on goal; minutes later man-in-form Kian Fitz-Jim was injured.
- Pepi scored 1-2 and Ajax was on the brink of collapse. But after 70 minutes the situation stabilized. One substitute Davy Klaassen served another Sean Steur who scored the equalizer.
- One man down and another out injured, Ajax fought itself to a point. The road towards the first title since 2022 now appears open, as three of the next four opponents are in the relegation zone.

- English clubs are done! For the first time since the 2014/2015 season, there is no English team in any of the UEFA sanctioned tournaments!
- Dream semi-finals ahead: Paris Saint-Germain take on Barcelona, while Real Madrid faces AC Milan
- Spain could lock out a Champions League and Europa League final, with Betis playing Braga and Celta taking on Galatasaray there

PSV has won the Dutch Cup and that might become a noteworthy feat. If the Spanish clubs claim both the Champions League and Europa League, the Netherlands will lose a European ticket. That means, the best four in the league plus the cup winner go into Europe, or the best ranked team in Eredivisie if the cup winner is among the top 4, which is exactly the case now that PSV has the Cup. Ironically it's AZ that will be without a European ticket if the worst case scenario unfolds.
