Well, if you reached the top with Ajax (read: championship) the only thing left is repeat. So, I'm expecting a lot of my top players to depart, especially in the ambitious age category of 21-25 years young. So, getting to the top is easier than staying there, in that regard.

AJAX JUST OUTSIDE TOP 40, DUTCH EREDIVISIE SLIDING DOWN

Ajax are about to make their return into the European top 40. Currently in 42nd, they are expected to begin a steady rise as the poor 22/23 and 23/24 seasons are next to fall away in the upcoming years
In Spain, Athletic Club from Bilbao and Villarreal are victim of Spanish success in Europe: Athletic dropped out of Champions League due to Betis claiming the Europa League this season, while Villarreal (who'd normally would've slided into the Conference League) remains without European football all together
Portugal now send six teams into Europe, while the Dutch Eredivisie has to make do with one less representative

Ajax just outside the top 40 in Europe with AZ as number 39. It has to be a milestone to climb above such a club. Being behind PSV or Feyenoord is (almost) acceptable in regards to their history and all. But AZ should be in a tier just below, and Ajax need to climb above them. With AZ's 22/23 season being their best in the last five seasons, I suppose Ajax will also be ahead already when next season starts, considering that Ajax's 22/23 season wasn't that great. Unfortunately that was also the case in 23/24.
