St. Thomas Aquinas RB D.J. Porter suspended from team

Following an incident at practice Thursday afternoon the St. Thomas Aquinas football team has formally announced the suspension of junior runningback D.J. Porter.

Porter allegedly started an altercation with running back Jordan Scarlet and shoved a member of the coaching staff when they attempted to break it up.

Porter had been buried on the depth chart at running back with Scarlett and Deltron Sands getting the bulk of the teams touches.

Porter was the top RB on the JV team last season and was expecting to be a key piece of the offense before the arrival of Scarlett.

The Raiders topped Plantation 51-0 last night to improve to 9-1. Porter was not dressed for the game.

Now that I've had the change to tell the people I wanted to before it got out im going to put it out there for everyone. We've had some huge changes to our family. Dad is no longer working for the school and once Timmy finishes 6th grade in a couple weeks we're moving.

To b honest I'm not sure exactly how I feel about it. The past few months here havent been the greatest for me. But this has been home long as i can remembwr. I'm going to miss all my real friends, most of my teammates and coaches and a few teachers to.
