After dumping the Hal Sams experience onto the Minnesota Vikings, the Los Angeles Chargers are undefeated and have a favorable path to stay that way while the Vikings are now going to be forced to make a decision on Sams.

Sams was traded last season due to an injury to Mitchell Trubisky which elevated him into a starting spot right away in Minnesota. He had an average season, which is the norm for Sams, but the team didn't do much winning. This season, his play has slightly been better but not by much. Even with a stable of veteran running backs in Aaron Jones, Travis Etienne and David Montgomery and some talent at receiver in Steven Sims, Steffon Diggs and Anthony Schwartz, the Vikings offense has been pretty bad this season.

Chargers Defense Dominates Sams, Patterson in Win over Vikings
The Minnesota Vikings played the undefeated Los Angeles Chargers for two quarters and a half quarters but at some point, the real Chargers showed up.

Will Castonzo threw three second half touchdowns and the Chargers scored 31 unanswered points in the team's 41-9 victory over the Vikings on Sunday afternoon.

Castonzo was intercepted twice in the first half and sacked five times as the Minnesota defense was causing havoc. The Chargers relied on their rushing attack to soften up the defense as Felix Whittaker rushed for 142 yards and a first half touchdown.

Vikings QB Hal Sams left the game in the second quarter with an injury but did return later in the game albeit to not a lot of success before and after the injury. He threw two interceptions and completed just 12 of his 28 passes. Shea Patterson didn't fare much better, going 4 of 15 for 77 yards

With Pittsburgh losing last week, the Los Angeles Chargers are the last of the undefeated and return home to face a Las Vegas team they beat 35-23 earlier in the year.

Outside of an upset of the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday Night, the Raiders haven't been a very good football team. They've been held under fourteen points in four of their last five games and their defense surrendered nearly 500 yards of total offense to the Chargers earlier in the season.

The team's decision to let Jacob Eason walk hasn't paid off as Drew Lock has been mediocre and unimpressive at best. Meanwhile, Eason sports a 101.6 passer rating for the Buccaneers along with a league leading 20 touchdowns, which he's tied with Chargers QB Will Castonzo.

Chargers Face Attrition Against Las Vegas but Hang on for 25-22 Win
After spending a ton of money on their secondary, the Los Angeles Chargers got a return on their investment.

Drew Lock's last three passes all went incomplete as the Chargers hung on for a 25-22 win over the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday, surviving a rash of injuries.

The team was without cornerback Donovan Bigby who left the game with an injury along with their top five running backs in Felix Whittaker, Kyree Sampson, Tyron Floyd, Clinton McDonald and Duke Johnson.

They all left the game with injuries, leaving Will Castonzo to shoulder the offensive load behind an offensive line that struggled mightily as he was sacked nine times. He still managed to complete 20 of 40 passes for 252 yards and rushing for another 84.

He could have added to his touchdown total on a pass to D.K. Metcalf in the endzone but Metcalf was hit and dropped it, forcing the Chargers to settle for a 43-yard field goal with 1:51 left in the game.

It would turn out to be the game winning score, a consolation prize for Michael Badgley who missed his first kick in two seasons as his 59-yard field goal attempt before the half hit the crossbar.
