No love lost, TJ! Bankers Life Fieldhouse made a special tribute in TJ Warren's first game back in Indiana, where he won his only NBA championship in 2023 with a lot of these guys.

Get To Know The Prospects: Lafonte Castleberry

Image

Name: Lafonte Castleberry
Pos: SG
Height: 6'6"
Weight: 202 lbs
School: UTEP Miners
Age: 20
Current Averages: 24.8 PPG, 5.3 APG, 4.3 RPG
NBA Comparison: Manu Ginobili
Draft Projection: Lottery
DraftExpress Big Board Ranking: #8

Positives: Lafonte is one of the top pure shooters on the college level. A prolific outside shooter with a defined role for the NBA level. A very cerebral player & makes excellent decisions on both ends of the floor. He shows a lot of leadership and determination, developing a great rapport with his teammates and displays natural leadership traits. Right hander who at 6’6 with long arms has good size for the NBA 2-guard position. He's not afraid to take the ball inside & utilizes the spin move in the paint well. Castleberry was awarded the 2024 C-USA Freshman of the Year (13.5 PPG) & has shown a never-quit motor that could attract many teams to draft the UTEP sophomore.

Negatives: He needs to become more adept at facilitating the pick and roll. Castleberry lacks great body strength. He will need to add some strength and muscle over the next few years in order to better finish drives and absorb contact, as well as not get bullied by the more physical guards at the next level. His level of competition may also cause some teams to be skeptical. Castleberry was only a 2-star recruit out of high school, and hasn't competed against much top-tier competition.

 that College Hoops name database is wildin.

Man I really like Diallo so far. He’s one of my favorite wildcat alumni ever so it was love to finally get to play with him on 2k.

He could be a bit faster but no complaints. He knocks down open jumpers and that’s what it takes to fit in with this ball club. He would likely average more PPG if I gave him more than 20 mpg.

50 points and the L...been there, done that. Stings a little bit

But the record is still looking good. Three way battle for top seed in the East. I like it.

It's going to be a tough battle for the #1 seed this season. LeBron James & Chris Paul both in their final season are out for pure dominance.
