This is so tough to have these synced up like this.
Looks like Dangerfield still had a solid outing but not comparable to the GOAT.

Dates my guy, just plugging them in where they fall on the calendar.
Team should've played better with Brittney Griner on their squad, but they didn't utilize her right. Could've been a decent competitive game

WHEN IT RAINS, IT POURS
It's been two years since the two have last seen each other, Clinton and Recks, that is. With both Khyri and Recks back home in California, settling in Faircrest Heights, Recks had time on his hands with the kids and rekindling old friendships from his USC days. One in particular he's been looking forward to was Clinton him-self. Upon catching up with a cousin of his, he found out what happened to him and was giving his whereabouts. Learning it, Recks was in disbelief...
When Recks broke news to Khyri about what happened to Clinton, she was shocked to hear of it, but in a way relieved. After their last meeting, she wanted nothing to do with him, advising Recks to do the same, but he was adamant to getting some answers. Khyri was in town for another game later in the week, so it gave Recks a bit of time to make moves. A couple days later, with Recks set to go. Recks made his way to Lancaster, in the county of Los Angeles, just north of Palmdale. California State Prison, the current residence of Clinton Brown...
Recks got there around 10:30-ish, been waiting for two hours for proceedings. Once inside the visitation center, Recks sat amongst the other people at tables, some still waiting for their counterparts to show up. Those who were in the areas, visitors and prisoners, some recognized Recks, giving him slight waves and nods. Never have met these people, Recks kept it kosher, returning the silent salutations. A few moments later, Clinton finally made his way into the room, looking for whom was looking for him. As Recks stood up, the two eyes' met and Clinton's mood went from curious to regret...
"Long time, no see..." Clinton says as he seats him-self.
"I can definitely say the same for you..." Recks rebutted.
"So... To what do I owe the pleasure of a visit from a NBA star?"
"I don't know, you tell me. I come back home few months ago, looking for people, you being one of them, and I hear that you landed yourself here in prison. So the way I see it, you already know what you owe for the "pleasure of a visit from a NBA star" Recks sternly replied.
"...."
"Nothing? Clint-"
"What's done is done, alright? Niccas got me down for accessory. Niccas don't know how to keep their mouths shut."
"Clinton, the fuck did you do?" Recks inquired.
"Nothing."
"Yo, don't give me that bullshit!-"
"Keep it down over there!" The guard at the gated door shouted directly at Recks.
"Don't give me that Clinton. You was supposed to be my road dog, helping me with my NBA career."
"Help you? For what? You don't need no help. What am I supposed to do? Ride your coat tails and carry your bags?"
"Shit, it's a hell of a lot better than being locked up and getting your back broken by one of these niccas."
"It ain't even that type of party in here, I got respect on my name."
"Yeah, whatever. Respect ain't gonna protect your ass while you're vulnerably sleeping."
"You think that little of other niccas who don't want to be here, huh?"
"All I'm saying is that they don't got nothing else to lose."
"And I did?"
"Now all of a sudden, you wanna use your brain. Come on man. You knew when I said I wanted you to be my assistant, it was more than that. You knew when I eat, you eat."
"Yeah, I've been hungry for too long, I didn't have time to wait on you and your whack ass knee pussy-footing around each other."
"Fuck that supposed to mean?"
"Look man, what you want? I got other shit to do. I gave up my yard time for this."
"What? That's how you doing me? You really sitting here throwing away the friendship we built over your petty ass attitude?"
"Friendship?" Clinton fixed his face as if he was confused by that word. "Nicca, we ain't never been friends. Ever since I met you, I always been in your shadows. Middle school football tryouts, I got cut cause of you. Varsity basketball, I lost a spot cause of you. Khyri.."
"Khyri?"
"I've been trying to get that piece of ass high school and you fucked that up, sliding your narrow ass into my business and stealing her attention from me. I'm not gonna even talk about USC."
"That what's this is all about? More petty shit cause you felt entitled?"
Clinton sits back in his chair conceitedly uttering the words out of his mouth, "A man's due for some success, by any means necessary."
"Yo, I don't know what the fuck happened to you these last two years, but this ain't you."
"People change, that's the way of the world big boy. Take them panties off and put your big boy drawls on, nobody is going to kiss your ass and cater to you."
"Nicca, I've never asked you to do either. I asked you to be my right hand man and see me through life as my best friend. Hold me down like I would've done for you. Mother fucker, I let you around my son. My boy looked at you like an Uncle."
"Speaking of which, How's Khyri doing and my kids doing?" Clinton coldly asked with a grin.
"The fuck you say???"
Recks eye ball Clinton, wanting to smack fire out of his mouth, but the last thing Recks want to do is end up in cell for assault and jeopardize his own freedom. Racing through his memories, flashing back to Khyri revealing that the triplets may not be Recks and the night she admitted to sleeping with someone else, Recks put two and two together realizing it was Clinton, that vital piece to the puzzle that was missing.
"Yeah, she didn't tell you? Me and Khyri had a thang back in the day after she won her WNBA championship. After the parade and all that shit, we went out celebrating. Man, she was so drunk and wasted, and that ass was so soft, and that mouth... Man, she's wicked with it. Had the whole night recorded on my phone. But, being the gracious man that I am, I deleted it. Should some shit happened like it did to me, didn't want nobody else getting a hold of my phone and seeing what she did and leaking it out to the media. We wouldn't want to ruin her image, her precious career. Nah... Taking her to Pound Town by Mayor Brown was enough for me."
Recks sat across the table, fuming, clinching his fists and teeth, ready to pounce and mangle Clinton, one of the officers picked up on the situation and cut their time short. Just before Clinton was taken away, Recks made it clear that Clinton was dead to him, in more ways he can possibly imagine. Clinton responded back with a smile and a chuckle as he exit the visiting room. With Recks lashing out on the table, slamming both fists onto it, everyone in the room paused, quietly watching. It didn't take more than a moment for another officer to escort Recks out the room...
Recks sat in the car, outside of the visitation center, quietly rewinding the words Clinton spewed out of his mouth in his mind... It started to rain, harder and harder with each passing moment. The sound of the rain crashing on the windshield, splashing on the rooftop soothe the rage inside him-self. With new information of Clinton and Khyri, it all made sense to him. Everything he was rebuilding with Khyri came crumbling down all over again. Furious at her for her not telling him, Recks felt the ultimate betrayal. Being fucked over by the two people he grew up with, that mattered the most to him. Usually, the enemy of his enemy should be his friend, but it just so happens that both friends were the enemies. Be it temporary, it was more than enough to damage and scar Recks permanently...
