Wallace shatters school record book in 6 TD performance against UCF
Despite breaking free from the UCF defense up the left sideline, USF running back Bobby Jackson opted to step out of bounds. It was a puzzling decision at the time but on the next play, Chris Wallace caught his second touchdown pass of the day to break the school record for most career receptions.

Wallace would score four more times in USF's 59-14 win over UCF on Friday night, breaking the school record for most single season receiving touchdowns, most career receiving touchdowns and broke Jean-Jacques Francois' record for most receiving touchdowns in a game.

Former USF great Corey Montgomery was in attendance as Wallace broke his records with likely two to three more games left on the season and potentially more down the line. A junior, the Mackey Award winner has been coy about whether or not he'll return for a senior season.

"I'm having fun right now so you never know," said Wallace after the game.

If he does return, he'll be catching passes from Joey Spence, who tied his own school record with seven passing touchdowns in the game. USF head coach Malcolm Francois Sr. did took out his offensive starters in the third quarter after Spence's seventh touchdown and Wallace's sixth.

In the last two games against the Knights, the Bulls have scored seventy and fifty-nine points.

USF's offense never gets on track as Texas comes away with the win
The last time the University of Texas won a national championship in football, USF head coach Malcolm Francois Sr. had just completed his first season as the Bulls head coach, the only losing season in his tenure at USF.

Since then, the Bulls have won five national championships. On Saturday night, Texas might have just punched their ticket in to have another crack of breaking the three decade long drought.

Texas quarterback and Heisman candidate Dan Butler dazzled in the closing seconds of the game, completing the game winning touchdown to Dan Willis as time expired to hand USF it's first loss of the season with a 12-7 victory.

The Longhorns did a lot of the heavy lifting, intercepting the nation's leading passer Joey Spence three times, including twice when the Bulls were in scoring position. Spence finally got it going with less than two minutes left in the game and down six points, leading the Bulls down the field where they would score on the 19-yard completion to tight end Chris Wallace.

Up a point following the extra point, USF seemed to have put the Longhorns in a tough bind when Butler was sacked for ninth time in the game to bring up 2nd and fourteen with seventeen seconds left in the game.

After a quick completion got it to 3rd-and-11, Butler took advantage of an aggressive, blitzing Bulls defense to find Derek Scott across the middle for the first down and the ball on the 15-yard line with less than eight seconds left.

Texas opted to keep pushing the pedal instead of settling for a field goal which caught USF's defense by surprise and unsettled, setting up the game winning touchdown to Willis.

It's the Longhorns second SEC championship in the past three seasons, beating an undefeated USF team both times and will likely be forever remembered as the SEC's last true champion with impending conference realignment on the horizon.
