Recruiting Update

Kansas Lands Four Recruits in Big Week

After another disappointing week on the field Kansas had a great one in recruiting, landing four commits and bringing their total to ten players in all.

Marcus Golden is a four star runningback from Trinidad, Colorado. He is the #25 runningback in the nation. Golden chose Kansas over Air Force and Pitt. Golden measures 6'1" and 209 pounds. He is expected to be part of the runningback rotation as soon as next season.

Travis Jackson is a junior college transfer cornerback from Bogalusa, Louisiana. He comes in rated two stars and is the #180 CB in the nation. He has good size for the position at 6' and 184 pounds. Jackson chose Kansas over Texas Tech, Kansas State, Baylor and Ole Miss.

Brandon Vaughn comes from Paola, Kansas. He is a small buit powerful back measuring 5'9" and 206 pounds. He chose Kansas over Tulsa and had considered Air Force earlier on. Vaughn is a three star prospect and ranked as the 40th best runningback in the nation. He could compete for playing time next season but is more likely to be a factor in 2015.

Finally, safety Kyle Hobbs hails from Racine, Wisconsin and chose Kansas after considering Buffalo, Wyoming, Northwestern and SMU. Hobbs is a three star prospect ranked as the #59 free safety in the nation. He measures 6'3" and 197 pounds.

The four signings bring Kansas total commits to ten now, all listed below.

not a ton of talent but filling some needs, shooting for a pretty big class
in the future I'll probably be a bit more selective of who I recruit but I wanted to make sure I filled out the roster.

I think you've got a good class going all.thongs considered here. JuCo's often are better than the star rating - it's the trade for them not having four years, similar to real life I suppose but they're great when you have a team like Kansas!

That four star is huge!
