Inside The NBA Speaks About Tiny Jimenez's Injury.



Ernie: .. The word isn't official yet out of the Phoenix Suns locker room, but the chatter & what we all just witnessed, it appears that Tiny sustained a torn achilles in his left foot. What unfortunate news for the Shogun & for the Phoenix Suns organization as they seemed prepped for a deep playoff run this summer.. He will undergo an MRI later tonight. What do we make of this fellas? Shaq, I'll start with you.

Shaq: I hate it for him, & big fella if you're listening, keep your head up.. They say the achilles injury is the worst injury in basketball so we know the comeback won't be easy, but if anyone's going to come back from it, it's you my brother.. & as for the Phoenix Suns moving forward, they're done. Without him, the Suns don't stand a chance.

Ernie: & they just lost Aaron Christmas to a broken left ankle not even 1 week ago! He is expected to return sometime during the first round of the playoffs.. Kenny.. What does this mean for Tiny moving forward as an NBA star?

Kenny: Kobe Bryant, Kevin Durant, John Wall, Elton Brand, Dominique Wilkins, Demarcus Cousins.. All of these players had achilles injuries man & it's a devastating injury to endure.. Most guys don't come back the same, especially someone who relies so heavily on getting to the rim like Tiny does..

Shaq: I do think he'll come back, & still be that force he is on the floor.. We're talking about the back-to-back league MVP.. arguably the greatest basketball player alive right now in the prime of his career. He's hungry for greatness & I expect him to be a bit slower.. little less bounce.. But I believe in his team to get him back to peak performance. Hey, if not better than before.

Ernie: Jet, your thoughts on what the Phoenix Suns do to move forward without Tiny Jimenez?

Kenny: Well, like Shaq said, you don't just lose the best player in the NBA & still compete for an NBA title.. I like their team but I don't see them making much noise without 30 points per night & 10 assists per night. I'm sorry. IT'S A NEW ORLEANS 4-PEAT LADIES & GENTLEMAN!

Shaq: Kenny's not lying. What this should say to the rest of the Western Conference is 'Hey. The Suns are out.
