Stay At Home Dad.
Following Tiny Jimenez's achilles surgery, his foot was placed inside a cast & he was ordered to stay as immobile as possible for a couple of weeks. While playing the newest Grand Theft Auto 7, he received a phone call from August & AJ's private school in Phoenix.
"Your daughter AJ has been in a fight.. She punched a male student in the face after he put a sign on her back.." the school's principal said.
"Did anything happen to my daughter?"
"No.. I was told that the student's nose began to bleed so he didn't respond with violence.."
The two spoke for a little bit longer as Tiny stood up for AJ on the call. Tiny agreed with the principal to send someone to pick her up at school & bring her home early. He called her into his room when she made it home.
"Hey.. What happened? The principal called & said you were involved in a fight today."
"It was no fight. I found a sign on my back that said 'AJ's ugly' written in red marker.. I knew who it was too so as soon as I saw that kid with the red marker, I punched him in his face & he cried like a baby. That's what happened."
"I understand.. & I'll never be mad at you for standing up for yourself.. Maybe you can try to be calmer next time & not respond with violence?"
She laughed.
"Sure, Dad. There's photos of you all over the house fighting but the first fight I get in at school & you want to tell me to be calm. He called me ugly!"
"I know, AJ. But you just can't go around trying to knock everybody out that tries to challenge you in life."
He could see the frustration on her face as this situation infuriated her.
"Pssht. It worked out for you!" She said as she turned around & stormed out of his room.
He paused for a moment in disbelief to AJ's reaction, however he understands where his daughter was coming from. He also knows she's only acting out because he's not going to follow her considering his state.
"This is going to be a long 6 months.." He said under his breath as he put his head into his hand.
