Match #1: Rey Mysterio vs. Booker T (c) | Extreme Rules | Hardcore Championship
After an early flurry from Mysterio, Booker T got back into the matchup by powerbombing Rey through a table. From there on it was all Booker as he made short work of Mysterio with an Axe Kick and the Scissor Kick to retain the Hardcore Championship he won from Edge at Halloween Havoc.

Match #2: Rob Van Dam vs. The Boogeyman | One on One
Rob Van Dam faced a tough test after winning the IC title at Halloween Havoc, taking on The Boogeyman. Boogeyman gave him all he could handle early on, even bloodying the champion after a series of hard hitting moves to the head. But Van Dam rallied. He was able to toss Boogeyman to ringside and hit a springboard senton on him before hitting him with the Rolling Thunder. RVD got him back in the ring to set up the Five Star Frog Splash but the lights went out and when they came back on Boogeyman appeared behind him. Boogeyman hit Van Dam with the Boogeybomb, but RVD was able to miraculously kick out at two. The match continued and RVD started to build momentum again, eventually hitting Boogeyman with a straight leg kick to the head and then this time getting the Five Star Frog Splash off to pin him for the win. After the match, though, Edge came out to "applaud" RVD's win. RVD laid the title down on the floor letting Edge know that if he wants it he can come try to take it from him.

Match #3: D-Generation X vs. Brothers of Destruction | Tag Team
D-X got a hardfought victory here over the Brothers of Destruction after Triple H hit a pedigree on Undertaker. Following the match, a new team, the O.C. came out to the stage to issue a challenge to D-Generation X. Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows of the O.C. threw down a gauntlet and made a major statement going after the top tag team in the company for their debut feud.

Match #4: Eddie Guerrero vs. Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart l One on One
Eddie Guerrero had a thrilling match with Jim Neidhart here, where his cruiserweight style contrasted with the hard-hitting bruiser style of Jim. The match would come to an end when Jim went for the piledriver but Guerrero was able to slip out of it and hit him with Step-Up Enzuguiri. He then followed that up with the Frog Splash to get the victory. After the match Eddie was celebrating with his United States Championship when the lights went dark and over the loudspeaker we heard, "Wrestling has more than one royal family," as the theme song of the "American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes, the son of the Dusty Rhodes blasted throughout the arena as the 2nd generation superstar made his debut. He stood on the ramp and said nothing but pointed right at Guerrero's United States Championship.

Main Event: Stone Cold vs. Kurt Angle | One on One | #1 Contender's Match
Kurt Angle started this match off hot, using his superior technical wrestling ability to outmaneuver the Texas Rattlesnake. He hit Austin with a German Suplex then started to get cocky, pulling down his straps and playing to the crowd. Angle then walked over to Austin looking to pick him up for an Angle Slam, but Austin was playing possum! He rolled up Angle into a small package and nearly got the three count. A frustrated Angle got up quickly and nearly walked into a Stone Cold Stunner, but managed to slip out of it and get behind Austin to hit him with another Angle Slam that he wouldn't kick out of this time. Angle celebrated becoming the #1 contender, but celebration was cut short though when the champ, Brock Lesnar, came running down to the ring and blasted him over the head with the title. He then said, "You're never taking this from me," while standing over Angle triumphantly with the title raised.

November 2004 | Week 2 | Smackdown!

Match #1: Triple H vs. Karl Anderson | One on One
WWE decided to make Smackdown!, not RAW its new flagship show for a change, and Karl Anderson, one half of The O.C., kicked it off against one half of the tag team champions, Triple H. They showed great sportsmanship at the start, shaking hands respectfully before starting the contest. In a tremendous upset, Anderson was able to go toe to toe with The Game, and when it looked like he might lose to a Pedigree, he countered it and hit HHH with his patented Gun Stun finisher to shock the world with a pinfall victory over the champ.

Match #2: Jinder Mahal vs. AJ Styles vs. Booker T (c) | Extreme Rules | Hardcore Championship
AJ Styles hit Booker T with a Styles Clash and was set to win the matchup but a dirty low blow from Jinder caught Styles off guard. Mahal then hit the Khallas on him to pick up the pinfall victory and win his first championship in WWE.

Match #3: Cody Rhodes vs. JBL | One on One
The hard-hitting JBL gave Cody Rhodes all he could handle in this match, but in the end the American Nightmare was able to hit him with not one, not two but three consecutive Cross Rhodes to put him down for the count. After the impressive win, US Champion Eddie Guerrero came out to give Cody some seemingly sarcastic applause.

Match #4: Rob Van Dam vs. Finn Balor l One on One
RVD faced off against a debuting Finn Balor, These two had an incredible high flying matchup with tons of incredible counters, flips, kicks and high flying moves. In the end though RVD would get the upper hand on the newcomer, countering his Coup de Grace finisher with a top rope finisher of his own, the Five Star Frog Splash, to get the victory. After the match RVD celebrated with his IC title held high for the fans to see but he was blindsided from behind by Edge. Edge then picked up his title, stared at it longingly then lined up RVD for a shot to the head from the belt to knock him out cold.

Main Event: Brock Lesnar vs. Eddie Guerrero | One on One
Eddie Guerrero made this champion vs. champion match more competitive than expected but was eventually put down for the count with an F-5. After the match, Kurt Angle came out to challenge Brock for the Undisputed Championship.

WCW will take center stage on Monday Nights, featuring its own Heavyweight, U.S., and World Tag Team titles. ECW, known for its extreme style, will electrify Thursday Nights with the World, Television, and World Tag Team titles on the line. This brand split promises diverse flavors of wrestling action for fans to savor. The two brands will share cross-brand WWE themed pay-per-views once per month.

Inaugural Champions: A Nod to Legends

The prestigious WCW Heavyweight Championship now adorns the waist of none other than the legendary Hollywood Hogan, a figure synonymous with wrestling stardom. Eddie Guerrero, a master of in-ring storytelling, holds the U.S. Championship, and The Outsiders (Scott Hall and Kevin Nash) have reclaimed their status as the dominant force in tag team wrestling with the WCW World Tag Team titles.

Meanwhile, in the heart of ECW, the "Beast Incarnate" Brock Lesnar has unleashed his wrath and captured the ECW World Championship. The high-flying Rob Van Dam, known for his innovative offense, proudly sports the ECW Television Championship. The Steiner Brothers, renowned for their tag team prowess, have reclaimed their throne as ECW World Tag Team Champions.

March Y1 | Week 1 | WCW Nitro

Match #1: Rey Mysterio vs. Scott Hall | One on One
Rey Mysterio as one half of Legado del Fantasma or the lWo matched up against one half of the WCW World Tag Team Champions, the Outsiders' Scott Hall in singles competition. His high flying style contrasted heavily with Hall's more power oriented game, and for a while his speed gave him a huge advantage in the matchup. That was until Hall caught him with a powerbomb and then shifted the action to the outside of the ring. There Hall was able to use his superior strength and the surrounding environment to his advantage. The tables turned though when Mysterio hit a Running Dragonrana on Hall, slamming him headfirst into the hard floor, knocking him out cold. Mysterio got the pinfall victory but that wasn't enough. After winning he stomped out Hall repeatedly, verbalizing that he and Santos Escobar were coming for Hall and Nash's tag team titles.

Match #2: Cody Rhodes & Eddie Guerrero vs. Gunther & Ludwig Kaiser | Tag Team
Cody Rhodes and the US Champ Eddie Guerrero argued over who would start the match with Cody eventually being forced to relent after Eddie demanded that a champion be the one to start. That didn't pay off for Eddie though as Cody refused to help him throughout the match. Guerrero persevered anyway and was going toe to toe with the two members of Imperium despite effectively wrestling a handicap match. He was able to hit the Three Amigos on Kaiser and looked set to grab a big victory, but then Rhodes entered the ring and hit him with the Cross Rhodes, allowing Kaiser to pin him for the victory. Is this Rhodes way of getting in the champ's head for a potential shot at the belt?

Main Event: AJ Styles vs. MVP | One on One | #1 Contender's Match
MVP got a rare shot at a #1 contender's match and wanted to take full advantage of it. AJ styles was the heavy favourite and it showed as he dominated the contest early, eventually hitting MVP with the Phenomenal Forearm for what looked like a sure win, but MVP miraculously kicked out at two. From there MVP was able to build some momentum, even countering a Styles Clash from AJ to stay in the matchup. He got a near fall of his own after hitting his Playmaker finisher, but AJ kicked out at two. He then went for another one but this time AJ countered it and hit MVP with a Styles Clash to get the victory and become the #1 contender for the World Heavyweight Championship. Like clockwork, the champ. Hollywood Hogan came out and confronted Styles, holding the belt high above his head and standing face to face with the challenger as the first episode of WCW Monday Nitro came to a close.

March Y1 | Week 1 | ECW

Match #1: Damian Priest vs. Rick Steiner | One on One
Damien Priest came out in this contest with the intent to hurt Rick Steiner. The Judgment Day team member focused his kicks and strikes on Rick Steiner's ribs throughout the match, continuing to apply pain and pressure there throughout the contest. Priest hit Steiner with an Elevated Flatliner for a two count but Rick would get back into the contest eventually. Later, Priest went for the South of Heaven, but Steiner countered it and whipped him into the corner before going for his Bulldog finisher. He hit Priest with it to get the win, but also did a lot more damage to his already hurt ribcage, and could be seen clutching at it as he walked back up the ramp. Priest may have not won the battle for the Judgment Day, but the damage done to Rick Steiner, might have been what was necessary to win the war.

Match #2: Rob Van Dam vs. Undertaker | Tag Team
Rob Van Dam simply... survived this one against Taker. Undertaker was dominating the matchup physically, tossing RVD all over the place, but the Television Champion always had an answer for him. He used his speed, flips and martial arts style to stay in the contest. RVD eventually hit a series of combo kicks and a Rolling Thunder but it was only enough for a 2 count against Taker. The match continued and RVD went for the Five Star Frog Splash but Taker caught him and delivered a Tombstone. RVD was luckily close enough to the ropes to grab them to prevent the pinfall. Taker continued to apply pressure, but RVD was able to find a break in his attacks to get the Deadman to his knees and then kicked him in the face to get him flat on his back. He hit the Five Star Frog Splash to score an impressive pinfall victory over Undertaker. That was shortlived though. Not long after he won the lights went out and when they came back on the ominous Bray Wyatt was standing in front of RVD. He chokeslammed the Television Champion before saying, "You may have be able to beat a dead man, but what will you do when your worst nightmares come alive, Rob?"

Main Event: Brock Lesnar vs. Montez Ford | One on One
The young upstart tag team star, Montez Ford, was getting a big rub in this match getting the chance to face Lesnar in the main event. Ford gave Lesnar a surprising amount of trouble, slipping out of several suplexes and managing to knock down the ECW World Heavyweight Champion multiple times with aggressive running moves. His momentum got halted just like that though when he missed a corner running attack. Lesnar then hit him with the Suplex City leaving him crippled before following that up with an F-5 to pick up the victory. After the match, Lesnar celebrated but Kurt Angle came out to the stage to taunt him, "So you must feel pretty good about yourself beating small fry like Montez Ford, but can you defend that belt successfully against an Olympic Gold Medallist like myself? I don't think so. Put that belt on the line against me at Backlash, Brock and I'll break your freakin' ankle on my way to becoming champ."
