Lakers capture road victory over Denver despite Jokic big game

The Los Angeles took on the Denver Nuggets in the second matchup of the season between the two teams and for the second time this season the Lakers came away with a victory, this time on the road in Denver, 121-113. LeBron James put a team-high 25 points, four rebounds, nine assists, two steals and two blocks. D'Angelo Russell finished with 22 points, four rebounds and six assists and shot 8-of-14 from the field. Anthony Davis finished with 12 points, 16 rebounds, four assists and two blocks. Nikola Jokic led the Nuggets with a season-high 48 points, hitting 21-of-32 shots from the field. He also pulled down 15 rebounds and dished out two assists. Jamal Murray added 24 points, two rebounds, nine assists and hit 6-of-12 from the three-point line.

Lakers suffer worst loss of season

The Los Angeles Lakers made their first trip to the new Intuit Dome to face their cross town rivals, the LA Clippers. The Lakers have been in a slump this month losing five of their last seven games. Their slump got worse though thanks to the combination of Kawhi Leonard and Paul George who led the Clippers to a 123-93 victory over the Lakers and handed the Lakers their worst defeat of the season. Kawhi Leonard finished with a season-high 50 points and pulled down 11 rebounds. Leonard shot 20-of-30 from the field, 5-of-6 from the three-point line and a perfect 5-of-5 from the free throw line. Paul George finished with 38 points, hitting 13-of-26 shots and 5-of-11 from the three-point line. George also had seven rebounds and six assists. James Harden was held to just three points in 29 minutes. Anthony Davis led the Lakers with 24 points, five rebounds, two assists and two blocks. LeBron James was held to 15 points, three rebounds and four assists. Buddy Hield had 13 points off the bench and Christian Wood put up 11 points.
