The Los Angeles Lakers have been rolling ever since the start of the playoffs and from the looks of things there is nothing that can stop them, not even the Phoenix Suns. The Lakers big three combined to score 100 of the teams 125 points in game one. Not only the scoring but the efficiency, as Trae Young led the Lakers with 39 points, knocking down 16-of-25 shots from the field along with dishing out 12 assists. LeBron James scored 35 points, hitting 16-of-22 shots from the field and also had six rebounds and eight assists. Anthony Davis finished with 26 points, 12 rebounds, five assists, two steals and two blocks, and made 10-of-13 shots from the field. Buddy Hield had 19 points off the bench and Gabe Vincent had 6 points. For the Suns, Devin Booker led them in scoring with 38 points and also had six rebounds and nine assists. Booker was 15-of-29 from the field and 4-of-10 from the three-point line. Kevin Durant finished with 23 points, five rebounds and four assists. Durant was 8-of-24 from the field and 4-of-14 from the three-point line. Bradley Beal was held to just 10 points, hitting 4-of-8 shots from the field. Jusuf Nurkic and Kyle Anderson each scored 10 points apiece. The Suns lost forward Grayson Allen in the third quarter to a torn left MCL. Allen will miss the rest of the playoffs and most likely a good portion of next season recovering.

Lakers dominate second half against Suns, go up 2-0

The Los Angeles Lakers won their ninth straight playoff game tonight over the Phoenix Suns with a final score of 136-128. LeBron James recorded a triple-double with 48 points (21-of-29 from the field, 6-of-6 from the free throw line) along with 10 rebounds, 14 assists and two blocks. Buddy Hield scored 27 points, hitting 5-of-10 from the three-point line. Trae Young put up 24 points and dished out 12 assists while Anthony Davis finished with 22 points, eight rebounds, four assists, one steal and five blocks. The Lakers were down by nine after the first quarter and took a two-point lead into halftime, 62-60. They went on to score 74 points in the second half alone and shot an impressive 57 percent from the field in that half. Devin Booker led the Suns with 41 points, knocking down 16-of-30 shots from the field and handed out 10 assists. Kevin Durant scored 32 points and grabbed five rebounds. Bradley Beal for the second straight game was not his usual self, finishing with just 14 points on 6-of-13 shooting from the field. The Suns will need to regroup and go back to the drawing board because the Lakers swept Houston the last round and the way things look, that could very well happen again.

The Los Angeles Lakers were looking to take a commanding series lead 3-0, but the Phoenix Suns held their ground during the fourth quarter and hit some timely shots that got them back into the series with a 124-106 win. Devin Booker led the Suns with 27 points, three rebounds and eight assists. Bradley Beal who had been held under 20 points the first two games, went off tonight for 25 points, hitting 11-of-16 shots from the field. Kevin Durant scored 21 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Jusuf Nurkic hit 7-of-9 shots for 15 points and grabbed seven rebounds. Drew Eubanks off the bench added 11 points and 8 rebounds. For the Lakers they were led by LeBron James who finished with 30 points, five rebounds and eight assists. Trae Young scored 20 points and dished out 10 assists and shot 8-of-12 from the field. Buddy Hield had 17 points, hitting 4-of-10 from the three-point line. Anthony Davis finished with 16 points, nine rebounds, three assists and two blocks. The Suns outscored the Lakers in the fourth quarter 42-29 and hit 65 percent of their shots (17-of-26) and had 26 points in the paint. The Lakers will look to take a commanding 3-1 series lead on Tuesday night.
