Lakers open up championship defense with victory over Warriors

LeBron and AD simply too powerful to be stopped

Recap of Lakers/Warriors game played on October 21, 2025

The Los Angeles Lakers began their championship defense on the road to start the new season and against a familiar opponent, the Golden State Warriors. LeBron James led the Lakers with 28 points, hitting 12-of-17 shots from the field and Anthony Davis finished with 22 points and 20 rebounds. Buddy Hield, off the bench scored 17 points, hitting 4-of-5 from the three-point line. Steph Curry led the Warriors with 28 points and also handed out 10 assists. Brandon Podziemski finished with 17 points and Andrew Wiggins added 15 points, hitting 6-of-11 shots from the field. The Lakers led 57-52 at halftime and opened up the game in the fourth quarter on their way to a 113-99 victory. The Lakers will visit the Sacramento Kings before their home opener.
