Mora exploring ways to reignite the offense as Huskies hit the practice field during bye week

With the disastrously slow start, should Jim Mora find himself on the hot seat?

In what many pegged as a building year for the Huskies in Jim Mora's third season with the team, it's been anything but.

UConn currently sits at 1-5 on the season and many believe Mora could be on his way out if he's unable to secure at least a few more wins.

With the team enjoying a much needed bye week, Cam Edwards has been the focal point of a revised game plan. A highly touted back, Edward's ability in the run and pass game has been heavily under utilized. It's an adjustment that Mora hopes can help get the offense going.

"We just haven't done a great job getting Cam the ball in open spaces," said Mora. "He's a major cog in this offense that we need to lean on as a playmaker and I have to make sure he gets those opportunities."

Next week, the Huskies face off with a tough, but underperforming, Wake Forest team and hope to start turning things around before it's too late.

Game 7 Preview: vs Wake Forest (2-4, 0-3)

With four losses in a row, the Connecticut Huskies will match up with an underperforming Wake Forest team, hoping to take advantage of Jim Mora's squad.

It's a huge week on the recruiting front, as the Huskies have three defensive prospects on official visits this weekend and will all be attending this week's game.
