Elusive Super Bowl slips through Lamar Jackson's grasp as Cowboys win Super Bowl
A few words that fans around the world have either been dreading or waiting for: The Dallas Cowboys are your Super Bowl Champions.

Dallas' pass rush was too much for Baltimore's Lamar Jackson, who was sacked three times and Derrick Henry was held to just thirty nine rushing yards. It was Ezekiel Elliott who led the game with sixty nine yards rushing and Dak Prescott's fourth quarter touchdown on a scramble that gave the Cowboys the 21-19 edge in the final minutes of the game.

It would prove to be Zack Martin's final game who announced his retirement shortly after.

Patriots' franchise tag goes unused as David Andrews, Jonathan Jones and Josh Uche enter free agency
The New England Patriots have not extended David Andrew, Jonathan Jones nor Josh Uche with the franchise tag deadline passing by.

All three, along with defensive end Deatrich Wise Jr, are among twenty-seven New England Patriots that are set to enter free agency. While any of those players could return to New England on a new deal once free agency opens up, the Patriots are at least willing to let three of their key players, including two captains in Andrews and Wise, enter free agency and potentially sign elsewhere.

New England did make an offer to both Uche and Jones but both players decided to test their market first.

Notable NFL Transactions
Detroit Lions franchise tag G Kevin Zeitler
New York Jets franchise tag T Tyron Smith
San Francisco 49ers franchise tag CB Charvarius Ward
Cleveland Browns re-sign HB Nick Chubb (3yr/$32.6m)
Kansas City Chiefs re-sign LB Nick Bolton (5yr/$61.4m)
Dallas Cowboys re-sign DE DeMarcus Lawrence (1yr/$25.9m)
San Francisco 49ers re-sign LB Dre Greenlaw (4yr/$84.6m)
Chicago Bears re-sign WR Keenan Allen (3yr/$56.5m)
