Miami quarterback Keke Hagg showcased an impressive dual-threat performance, accounting for six total touchdowns as the No. 8 Hurricanes stormed past Louisville, 49-14. Hagg threw for 405 yards and four touchdowns, adding two rushing scores to propel Miami's offense in what became a dominant display at Hard Rock Stadium.
Hagg wasted no time making an impact, scoring the game’s first touchdown with a 12-yard run in the first quarter. He followed up with a 2-yard run by Quincy Dukes, giving Miami a comfortable 14-0 lead at the end of the first.
The Hurricanes’ offense continued to surge in the second quarter, with Hagg connecting on a pair of short touchdown passes – a 2-yarder to Eric Incoom and a late 28-yard strike to star wide receiver Jeremiah Smith. Louisville managed to answer back briefly, with Pierce Clarkson finding Christian Ashby on a 30-yard touchdown pass, but Miami carried a commanding 28-7 lead into halftime.
Louisville narrowed the gap slightly in the third, as Clarkson connected with Tyrus Wheeler on a 28-yard touchdown pass, but Miami responded. Hagg found tight end Elija Lofton for a 4-yard score, and then added two fourth-quarter touchdowns: a 5-yard rushing score followed by a deep 30-yard touchdown pass to Smith.
Smith led all receivers with 129 yards and two touchdowns on eight receptions. Deron Tryon also had a standout day, hauling in nine catches for 109 yards. Miami’s defense kept relentless pressure on Clarkson, sacking him nine times, with defensive linemen Kevin Yeboah and Elias Williams combining for 6.5 sacks.
With the victory, Miami moves to 8-1, solidifying their position as a playoff contender.

Miami adds defensive firepower with commitment from four-star defensive end Nick Kahn
Eddie Fernandez -- 247 Sports Miami Insider
The Miami Hurricanes secured another defensive asset in the 2028 recruiting cycle with the commitment of four-star defensive end Nick Kahn out of Orlando, FL.
Standing at 6-foot-3 and weighing 271 pounds, Kahn is ranked as the No. 5 defensive end in the nation and brings a combination of strength, athleticism, and motor to Miami’s defensive front. With offers from Florida, UCF, Auburn, and Florida State, Kahn’s commitment is yet another big time win on the recruiting trail for Mario Cristobal and Co. who has thoroughly dominated the Sunshine State on the trail this cycle.
Kahn’s skillset makes him a versatile defensive lineman who can set the edge against the run and apply consistent pressure in passing situations. Known for his explosiveness off the line and his relentless pursuit, Kahn is projected to be an big time contributor in Miami’s defensive scheme. His strong technique and agility give him the ability to disrupt plays in the backfield, and his toughness makes him difficult to block one-on-one.
Kahn's commitment is even more meaningful with five-star defensive tackle Timmy Provo committing to Georgia over Miami and Ohio State. The Hurricanes finished second in that recruitment as the Bulldogs were able to get Provo to commit to them and cancel his official visit to the Hurricanes this past weekend.
Another Georgia vs. Miami battle seems to be on the horizon with the Hurricanes recently offering five-star defensive back Finau Westmoreland. The local cornerback hadn't been much of a priority for the Hurricanes with ten scholarship cornerbacks on the roster, including nine underclassmen, but as of late, the Hurricanes have turned up the heat on Westmoreland who many thought was a lock to commit to Georgia. We wouldn't put it past Cristobal that the loss of Provo this cycle and local five-star receiver Price Egboh might have played a factor in the Hurricanes' sudden renewed interest in Westmoreland.
