Im glad i got Overton back, was kinda pissed he left for the portal to begin with, but happy to have him back.
The QB battle is honestly scary, we can't rely on our D to make the plays it did last year and carry us, so i will need someone to step up and make some plays.
Honestly, I'm not as excited as i want to be, after practicing with these guys its going to be a transition year, if we can manage to finish in the top 25 I would consider it a win. our D takes a big step back, have multiple QB's is basically having zero and also the loss of Stewart will hurt, he was my powerback, that's the one thing I do not have this season.
Thanks for following guys, means alot,

Hokies QB Battle Remains Unsettled After Liberty WinVirginia Tech opened the season with a commanding 34-3 victory over Liberty, but the question of who will lead the Hokies at quarterback remains unsettled. Both Harold Gammon and William “Pop” Watson III played in the opener, each showcasing different strengths, and neither separating enough to claim the starting role outright.
Gammon, the Penn State transfer, was sharp and efficient in his debut, going 5 of 6 for 68 yards and a touchdown while stretching the field vertically. Watson, the veteran senior, provided the steady presence fans have come to expect, completing 10 of 16 passes for 44 yards and a score of his own. The contrast between Gammon’s explosiveness and Watson’s reliability underscores the dilemma facing the coaching staff heading into Week 2.
What makes the situation more intriguing is that Virginia Tech’s former “quarterback of the future,” AJ Brand, transferred out in the offseason—landing, of all places, at Tulane, the Hokies’ next opponent. His departure removed what many thought would be a long-term solution at the position, leaving the staff to sort through short-term answers instead. As the Hokies prepare for a tougher matchup in New Orleans, the quarterback battle is still wide open, with extra drama now surrounding the storyline.

seems like a decent roster around the QBs. hopefully you can make it so you dont need them to do too much and keep winning

Hopefully I can rely on my ground game and maybe the quarterback can just be a game manager until mentor is ready. I didn’t put in the stats for Connor Dell. He had like 48 rush yards unlike five attempts he’s a beast so I’m gonna have to start incorporating him into a bit more of the rushing attack. Also realise I’m gonna have to change up my playbook. I’m gonna have to probably go something a little bit more too tight and running back so I can get all my playmakers on the field. That should be interesting.
