Tavien getting fraudchecked like that wasn't on my bingo card.
easy on my boy. shouldn't have been a fumble and he had two TDs called back, should have put it in the video to beat the allegations of throwing the game

here I was watching the video thinking wow that must've been a bittersweet moment beating his favorite team......just to see they came back to win. Tough loss, but the Cardinal are going to come back stronger next season.
Stanford football selected to compete in Pop Tarts Bowl following College Football Playoff Snub
By Miguel Rodriguez-Katz
Dec. 11, 2028, 2:55 p.m.Despite finishing ranked inside the top twelve, the Stanford Cardinal will not be finishing the year in the playoffs but instead in Orlando where they will take on the BYU Cougars (9-4, 7-2 Big XII) in the Pop Tarts Bowl on December 23rd.
The committee ultimately ranked No. 7 SMU ahead of the Cardinal despite Stanford having the same regular season record and besting the Mustangs in their regular season matchup. Three-loss Oregon was also ranked ahead of Stanford and No. 18 TCU, who beat BYU in the Big XII Championship Game got the playoff spot ahead of No. 11 Stanford who along with Pittsburgh, were the two teams ranked inside the top twelve that did not make the playoffs. UAB won the automatic bid as a G5 school, coming in at No. 19.
"I'm not worried about those things," said Stanford head coach Bubba Mack, "I'm excited about where we are going. We had a great opportunity to make sure that something like this didn't happen but we fell short so just looking forward to playing in this bowl game and seeing what's next for this program."
It's been a tough few days for the Cardinal who went from a potential bye week in the playoffs to out of it completely and then on Early National Signing Day, they lost out on four-star receiver Carlos Whalen to LSU and four-star center JaMarcus Eakin to Alabama. Stanford still signed a top-30 class in the country, which was ranked the fourth best class in the country.
Mack said he expects Heisman runner up Tavien St. Clair to be a 'participant' in the bowl game but that he had not spoken to the redshirt junior quarterback yet. St. Clair is projected to be one of the top quarterbacks selected in the draft should he declare which is the expectation.

idk, felt like this was a special year with Tavien at QB. I expect a slight drop off unless we go portal hunting for another star even though I like our backup in Ghee
