Isaiah Simmons
I always nab him in Madden. He got a pick for me last game
still trying to decide what his role is going to be but he'll have a role, believe you me

Are the Titans about to go Belichick Patriots stockpiling all those late round picks?
I'm more of a third/fourth round demon. can get some good value there.

Tennessee's backups best Giants starters in preseason finale
The Tennessee Titans didn't play their usual starters with Cam Ward being on the sidelines in street clothes but it didn't stop the Titans of Tennessee from scoring twenty-seven points in the first half against the New York Giants, who played their starters for three quarters, in a 47-17 rout during the preseason finale.
The Titans struggled to get their running game going with their backup offensive line in the game against the Giants star studded front line but Jake Browning, who got the start, did lead two scoring drives in the first half to keep pace with a Giants offense that was finding success with a busted coverage touchdown and then Jalin Hyatt got behind Roger McCreary, one of the few projected starters that played, for a touchdown. McCreary had a tough day while his counterpart, rookie Jermaine Matthews Jr. put the bow on what has been a promising preseason.
It was a good showing for the rookies with Mark Fletcher Jr. catching two screen passes for 127 yards, including a 74-yard touchdown and the other setting up a touchdown for Ja'Kobi Lane in the first half. Fletcher was also able to get the running game going in the second half with nine carries for 88 yards to certainly entrench himself on the roster. He also had three special teams tackle.
Whit Weeks had an interception, intercepting a pass intended for Malik Nabers across the middle from Giants starter Jaxon Dart and fellow rookie linebacker Taurean York also had an interception off backup Jameis Winston.
Roster Bubble Watch
The Titans played all three backup options at quarterback with Browning going 3 of 4 for 16 yards and a touchdown. Brandon Allen came in and was the most active of the quarterbacks, completing nine of his fourteen passes for 119 yards and a touchdown in the second quarter which is when the Titans began to pull away. Jalen Milroe would come in during the second half and completed four of six passes for 55 yards with a touchdown but did overthrow Xavier Restrepo on a pass that was interception.
It was a bit of a whimper for Restrepo who played a lot in the finale but had two catches for 24 yards. By comparison, Deion Burks continues to impress with two catches for 41 yards while Kavontae Turpin had 3 receptions for 47 yards and a touchdown with both players being return specialists, something that Restrepo doesn't provide.
Nazir Stackhouse had a forced fumble along with two tackles for loss in a busy day for the big man, improving his case to not only make the roster but be that third defensive tackle being Jeffery Simmons and T'Vondre Sweat.
Injury News
We saw two players get nicked up in the week in receiver Chimere Dike and center Lloyd Cushenberry III who did not play. At this time, it's too early to put their status for the season opener in question as many of the usual starters, which both Cushenberry and Dike are projected to be, didn't play anyway so its unclear if they could have played.

Titans finalize roster ahead of opener against Indianapolis
The Tennessee Titans have finalized their initial 53-man roster, signing cornerback Elijah Jones and releasing twenty one players.
There weren't too many surprises with last year's backup Brandon Allen being released as they opted to keep three quarterbacks on the roster this year with Jalen Milroe and Jake Browning serving as Cam Ward's backup. Speaking of Ward, his former college teammate and top target at Miami Xavier Restrepo made the practice squad for the second-year in a row after failing to secure a spot on the 53-man roster.
The Titans also named rookie D.J. Campbell as the starter at right guard, winning the job over free agent signing Daniel Faalele. Rookie Deion Burks also made the roster at receiver with the Titans choosing to carry six receivers on the active roster while Rueben Bain Jr. and Jermaine Matthew Jr. being starters at their respective position as expected.

Tennessee moves another veteran as Tony Pollard heads to Cincinnati for a first round pick
In the span of ten days, the Tennessee Titans traded away two of their most recognizable playmakers. First it was cornerback L’Jarius Sneed, shipped to the Los Angeles Chargers for a package of picks. Then came Sunday’s deal that sent running back Tony Pollard to the Cincinnati Bengals for a first-rounder.
On paper, the Titans have stacked valuable draft capital. In practice, the moves raise uncomfortable questions: Is Tennessee building toward contention — or simply pushing its window further down the road at a time when urgency should be the word?
The trades come as quarterback Cam Ward enters his second NFL season, still a work in progress but viewed internally as the future of the franchise. Surrounding him with proven talent was supposed to be the path forward under head coach Brian Callahan. Instead, the Titans are doubling down on youth, draft picks, and the idea of development — even as Callahan himself enters a pivotal third season with job security under scrutiny.
“Everybody wants to win right away,” Titans GM Malcolm Francois Jr. said. “But you have to think about sustainable success. We believe we’re positioning ourselves for that.”
Still, it’s a tough sell for a fan base tired of losing. The 2025 defense was inconsistent, and now it will line up without its best cover corner and while Pollard top 1,000-yards last season, his departure shifts even more responsibility to Ward and the Titans’ young stable of backs.
League insiders see two competing narratives. One says Tennessee is quietly building the right way — stacking picks, grooming a quarterback, and embracing a reset. The other says the Titans are wasting Ward’s early years and risking stagnation, with a head coach whose seat is only getting hotter.
For now, the reality is both simple and uncertain. Tennessee owns more draft ammunition than most of the league heading into 2026. But when the regular season kicks off in a matter of days, it will do so with a roster missing two of its most impactful veterans.
Whether that’s smart long-term planning or shortsighted surrender may define not just the Titans’ season, but Callahan’s future in Nashville.

its tough line to walk. Obviously easier in a sim game where you control the coach, but typically the problem is the GM/Owner gets too impatient and blows the plan up before it comes to fruition.
BUT WE BELIEVE
also for Simmons. I've got him as both my back up safeties and 2nd on the sub lb. and somewhere as a slot corner idr. But he's on the field for about 50% of the snaps running around fucking shit up lol
