Meet the Delaware 2025 Recruiting Class

After a forgetful first season in the FBS, Delaware had their work cut out for them this offseason to fill the holes from all the graduations and the surprising transfers. Losing their star offensive tackle (Anwar O'neal), two of their starting safeties (KT Seay and Hasson Manning Jr.) from last season, and the projected HB1 (Viron Ellison Jr.) and HB2 (Saeed St. Fleur) to the transfer portal was not what any Blue Hens fans were expecting. To Ellison, St. Fleur, and Manning: the "pro potential" you three are looking for better be the potential to go pro at McDonald's. YOU'RE NOT GOING TO THE NFL. BE FOR REAL PLEASE. I wish you guys get career ending injuries- I mean, the best for the future of your college career.

Anyway, Delaware finished their recruiting hunt with the 83rd ranked recruiting class in the nation and 3rd ranked in Conference USA. Their recruiting class is highlighted by athlete Pat Gammon, the only 4-star commit in the conference. Only offered a scholarship by the Blue Hens, the Maryland native was possibly overlooked by bigger programs due to being seen as an undersized linebacker at 6'0". "My mama taught me to never back down from a challenge. I'm ready to help turn this program around!" Gammon said in his Instagram post.

While the Blue Hens were not able to do much work in the transfer portal, they were able to hit on two positional needs. Leading this year's recruiting class is the former Georgia Bulldog defensive tackle Jordan Thomas. After not playing a single snap in Athens, the former 4-star recruit from New Jersey decided to take his talents closer to home. Thomas will be leading the trenches on defense after the graduation of Keyshawn Hunter, the team's sack leader last season.

The other commit from the portal was center Vysen Lang from Troy. After transferring from Tennessee, Lang started all 12 games at Troy but struggled to fit in with their offensive scheme. The 6'4" 350 lbs center was unable to record a single pancake block in 803 snaps with Troy last season. Now on his third team in three years, hopefully third times the charm for Lang.

Pile of departures but it looks like the incoming class is good. Hopefully between that and progression you will be better next season.

You doubled the crime rate in Delaware in this dynasty.

Goddamn, that was an exodus of players heading out. Going to be a whole new team you're fielding next season.
