McLaren Passes On Academy Prospect Noura Kassir After Breakout Rookie Season.



Noura Kassir put racing fans on notice this season as the F2' rookie finished third place in the driver standings, winning three races & making the podium a handful of times.

Kassir has been a member of McLaren's Racing Academy, & after a more than impressive season, she's more than proved she's ready for the next level: F1.

However, McLaren's dominating season that witnessed Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri top the standings for nearly the entire season is expected to have a repeat as both drivers will be sticking with McLaren for the new season.

A representative from McLaren suggested that she stay in F2 & continue to grow her portfolio before expecting to receive that call to represent her racing academy on the big stage.

With McLaren opting not to negotiate with Noura Kassir at this time, what could be next for the 22 year old Lebanese driver?

Noura Kassir & her agent sat down for a private meeting after McLaren didn't bother making an offer for their former racing academy prospect. They recommended if she wants to race for McLaren, she should resume her career in F2 & continue improving.

Unless..

"Thank you for meeting me here on such short notice, Noura." Elena, Noura's agent said as their discussion began.

"Absolutely. So, what's up? I'm assuming you have some news for me." Noura replied.

"Yes. Look, I'll be brief. I know that really stung to know that McLaren didn't offer you a seat in F1 next season.."

Noura just nodded as she dreamed of debuting in F1 with McLaren. & that dream isn't entirely over.

"They like you, they just.. have two of the best drivers in the world right now & there's no room for a rookie driver.. BUT they did say to stay in Formula 2, continue to improve, & then you'll have a chance at earning one of those seats."

"Yeah. Is that my only option?"

"Well, it's certainly not your ONLY option. I think if you want to race for McLaren, it's the best way to prove your dedication to the team that brought you up through the academy. It shows your dedication at meeting the team's expectations. That you truly are a team player."

"Yeah, that makes a lot of sense.." Noura replied.

"There's also the option of pivoting in your racing career. It's not Formula 1, but I could probably get you a chance to compete in the ARCA series in America.."

Noura nodded with approval, somewhat interested in becoming a household name in NASCAR one day if it doesn't work out in F1.

"Okay.. And what else?"

Elena reaches into her brief case & pulls out a sheet attached to a clipboard. She digs in deeper & retrieves a pen.



"Or, you can sign this.. your first contract offer in Formula 1 as a driver.. With Kick Sauber.."

"Oh my God! Elena, lead with that!" Noura said as she grabbed her agent & gave her a hug before etching her name & making the decision permanent.

"Yes, Yes, & Yes again! I can't believe it. I'm going to Formula 1!"

"Congratulations! You deserve this opportunity more than anyone. But it won't be easy. As you know, Sauber isn't really on top, & they don't have the resources some of the top garages like McLaren, Mercedes, & Ferrari have."

"I'm ready for the challenge. Let's kick some ass! Thank you so much for everything, Elena."

"You're welcome! Guess we better get you on the next flight to Switzerland so you can meet your new team."
