Logan McQueen III finishes the race 18th, sideways after a late incident

ARCA MENARDS SERIES RACE RECAP: General Tire 150 at Phoenix Raceway
The desert lights of Phoenix Raceway shined on a new winner Friday night as Brenden Queen drove his No. 28 Pinnacle Racing Group Chevrolet to victory in the General Tire 150.

Queen held off Tyler Reif in the closing laps to take the checkered flag by 3.504 seconds, earning his first win of the 2025 ARCA Menards season. Behind them, William Sawalich, Lawless Alan, and Lavar Scott rounded out the top five in a race defined by long green-flag runs and late-race tire strategy.

For Logan “Lightning” McQueen III, the weekend was a step forward in his young career. The Peak Motorsports rookie qualified 27th with a time of 32.964 seconds and battled through a tough middle portion of the race. In the final laps, McQueen was fighting just outside the top 15 when contact with Greg Van Alst sent both cars sliding across the finish line, McQueen was able to secure 18th place.

“It wasn’t the cleanest finish,” McQueen admitted with a grin. “But sometimes that's racing. We had good speed, and I was learning how to race these cars side-by-side. We’ll take 18th and move on to Kansas.”

While some competitors were critical of McQueen’s aggressive style, others pointed out that he’s quickly adapting to the ARCA level. “He’s not afraid to mix it up,” one team engineer noted post-race. “That’s what it takes to survive in this series.”

Big jump there. I don't know if I would consider Phoenix a short track though.

Logan McQueen III took home a third-place finish at his home track, Bristol Motor Speedway

ARCA MENARDS SERIES RACE RECAP: ARCA 200 at Bristol Motor Speedway
Thunder Valley lived up to its name on Friday night as the ARCA Menards Series rolled into Bristol Motor Speedway for the ARCA 200. Under the lights, William Sawalich powered his No. 18 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota to victory, outdueling Brenden Queen and Logan “Lightning” McQueen III in a thrilling short-track showdown that kept the Tennessee crowd on its feet until the checkered flag.

Sawalich held off Queen by just 0.330 seconds to secure the win, while McQueen crossed the line third, his best career finish to date and his first top-five in ARCA competition.

For McQueen, it was more than just another race, it was home. The Bristol, Tennessee native grew up watching his father and grandfather race at the “Last Great Colosseum” before claiming championships of his own in multiple local series. On this night, the rookie delivered a statement run in front of friends, family, and his new local sponsor, Big Fish BBQ.

After qualifying 15th with a lap of 18.256 seconds, McQueen methodically climbed the leaderboard, surviving multiple late cautions and pressure from veterans like Isabella Robusto and Tyler Reif. His No. 33 Peak Motorsports Chevrolet showed balance and aggression all night, earning praise, and a few bruises, from the field.

“It feels incredible to run this strong at Bristol,” McQueen said. “This track means everything to me and my family. I used to sit up there in the grandstands or down in the infield dreaming about being out here. Now we brought it home P3 in front of everyone who made this possible. I’m proud of this team and thankful for Big Fish BBQ for jumping on board this week.”

The finish also gave Peak Motorsports its first-ever podium, as the small independent team continues to impress in its debut season.
Big Fish BBQ, a hometown restaurant located just a few miles from the track, celebrated the result with enthusiasm. Owner Ronnie “Big Fish” Daniels shared his excitement post-race:
Ronnie Daniels, Big Fish BBQ
“What a night! To see that Big Fish logo on the hood flying around Bristol and bringing it home third, it doesn’t get better than that. Logan’s one of us. He races hard, he eats here, and he’s got that local grit. After a drive like that, I’d say someone’s going to give him a truck seat next season.”

bristol is our home track so that helped a lot.
the car couldn't hang at daytona and was better at phoenix cause of the shorter track.
as you progress you can upgrade the car and i made some huge upgrades after bristol so we will see, hopefully not too easy but i adjusted the ai difficulty as well

thanks for following along :yup:
