BOISE RUN THE PAC!
It's been a nice ride. Typically it comes down to winning the Oregon game but Washington played really well this year too for awhile I thought the Pac-12 North was going going to be a 3 horse race but both ended up with 3 conference loss's which opened up the door for a 5th straight trip. I was a little bummed to see USC lose in Week 14 to the Bruins. I think there would've been a possibility for the Trojans to make the playoffs too had they been undefeated going into the game.

OUR FINAL 12

The 2031 season is coming to a close as 12 teams will battle it out for a chance to be crowned National Champions.

#1 Michigan's Big Ten Championship win keeps them in the #1 spot going into the playoffs and a 1st Round Bye. They are joined by 2 other undefeated teams as well as #2 (13-0) Texas claim the Big 12 title and #3 (13-0) LSU claims the SEC title.

That left #4 up for debate but at the end of the day, the Selection committee decides to name give it to (11-2) Nebraska the Big 12 runner-up leaving ACC Champion (11-2) Miami at #5.

Always looking for a angle to boost TV ratings and create some drama the Selection committee then made some bold moves setting up a ACC title rematch as they name (10-3) Duke as the #12 seed . Duke led midway through the 4th before Miami rallied scoring a touchdown in the final minutes for the (24-21) victory.

With Duke in that meant (10-2) Florida State and (9-3) Ohio State were both out as they finish the year #13/#14 in the rankings.

The Selection committee wasn't done though as they announce that #11 (10-2) Auburn will be traveling to Boise to take on #6 (12-1) Boise State in a rematch of Boise State's only loss of the season in Week 1 to the Tigers who had snapped a 30+ win streak on "The Blue"

Coach Miller
"We went into the Pac-12 Championship knowing it was a possibility. As soon as we saw Miami announced as the #5 seed, we knew they were going to make the matchup"
With Auburn at #11 that left (13-0) UConn to claim the #10 seed and a 1st round matchup with Big Ten Runner up (11-2) Pitt as the #7 seed.

The final matchup then became #8 (10-2) Oklahoma State hosting #9 (11-2) Louisville..

BRONCOS HOST TIGERS IN ROUND 1 REMATCH

The Boise State Broncos got 1 home game on the "The Blue" or did they as they hosted the #11 seed Auburn Tigers for Round 1 of the 2031 Playoffs. However home games in late December don't guarantee that you will see the blue turf and today's game was one of those games. The Field was covered with snow but that didn't stop the Bronco faithful from coming out to support the home team.

GAME RECAP

The snow played a major factor in the early going as both teams tried to find their footing as BSU was forced to punt on their first 3 series leading to Auburn taking a (3-0) lead in the 1st Quarter. With Brian Crum struggling with nagging injuries and the 0-Line still missing 2 of it's starters, Coach Miller leaned on SR QB Tua Draft in the 2nd Quarter and Draft delivered throwing a pair of touchdowns including a 16 yd strike to Conner Friesz to give BSU the (17-10) lead with 34 seconds to play in the half but Auburn still with 1 timeout answers back with back to back 40+ yd players to tie the game in the final seconds as SO WR Deshhawn Wylie (90 ovr) hauls in the game tying score making it (17-17) at the half.

Both QB's would throw INT's to open up the 2nd half action but with 2:47 to play in the 3rd BSU would brake the tie as Cedric Eagles connects from 33 yds out giving the Broncos the (20-17) lead going into the 4th.

Brian Crum would return to the field and help finish off a 13 play 82 yd drive early in the 4th as Boise State added to their lead as Crum rumbles in from 7 yds out making it (27-17). BSU would later took to close things out as Cedric Eagles attempts a 50 yd FG but the kick falls short giving Auburn the ball back and 3 players later JR RB Ian Bowanko broke free for a 29 yd touchdown as the Tigers make it (27-24) with 3:49 to play.

With the snow still falling very heavily, Coach Miller would lean on his run game as Crum/Boykins and Jason Whitted combine for 67 yds on the Broncos final drive but facing a 4th and goal from the 4 it was time to put the ball in the hands of Draft who delivers a strike to backup TE Larry Ika giving BSU the 10 point lead with less then a minute to play. For Coach Miller and Draft it was a fitting end to a game that was full of trust as BSU finished the game (8-8) on 4th downs.

Auburn would have 1 last chance for a miracle but the Bronco Defense delivers a 4 and out as BSU takes over on downs kneeling out the remaining seconds..

UCONN PROVES THEY ARE THE REAL DEAL!!!
Some people questioned just how good (13-0) UConn was but the Huskies proved it this week as they went into Pitt and destroyed the Panthers with a (44-25) victory to advance. SO QB Cavin Kelly (86 Ovr) finished the game throwing for 321 yds with 4 TD and 1 INT.

#9 Louisville also pulled off the upset over #8 Oklahoma State scoring a late touchdown for the (35-28) victory.. The Cardinals rushed for 148 yds on the day and scored 4 of their 5 touchdowns on the ground led by SR Spence Urban (91 Ovr) who had 20 carries 83 yds and 3 scores. (Urban was this year's Doak Walker Award winner)

#5 Miami took care of #12 Duke in dominating the 2nd half as they cruised to a (41-10) victory leaving many to wonder if Florida State or Ohio State would've been a better matchup. Duke SO QB Sean Fayad (90 Ovr) was just 8/23 (34%) for 103 yds with 1 INT in the loss. well his counter part SO Tyree Burgress (89 Ovr) led Miami with 241 yds throwing 4 TD and 1 INT.

revenge best served Blue :melo2:

LSU is going to be a tough matchup up, but so long as Draft can stay away from the INTs you've got to like your chances
