I always enjoy your coefficient points, JustinCase used to do them as well I remember. A unique twist to add, that FIFA should really put into the game.

If a few of these high-potential academy players turn out for you, that could be the next big Ajax group to come through. I have not paid as much attention in recent seasons as 6-7 years ago, but I feel like it has been a few years since Ajax had a strong, young core. It used to feel like every summer a few big names from Ajax went to one of the biggest leagues.

Always fun to see the development of coefficient points. Next season the Dutch number could suffer from the great 21/22 season to be removed from the table. Italy, on the other side, could benefit from having their subpar season taken away.

It's quite time-consuming to calculate all these things, but I do find it to be rewarding in the end. If only the game could calculate it and make such a list itself, for both club and national teams. That would be something.

Justincase Once you got the Excel-file set up, it's not so much work really: only at the end of group stage does it take a bit more time, due to the calculation of bonus coefficient. For me, it's the ultimate way of seeing if I'm doing well long term. In Ajax better seasons, the aim was to get them into top 10. I think now just to get them on the list (top 30) would be a great achievement.

Sonny The magic seven years ago was in the mix: the youth and a handful of acquired class players: Daley Blind (home club boy returned), Dusan Tadic, Hakim Ziyech, David Neres (later Antony) and some hard-as-nails Latin-American grit (Davinson Sanchez, Nico Tagliafico, Lissandro Martinez, Edson Alvarez). That mix is gone. We still have great youth product, it's just not well balanced out with the players acquired from the outside: there is no Latin American over-my-dead-body grit, there is no leader like Dusan Tadic. The gap between not fully developed talent (Bouwman, Steur, Bounida) and near retirement age players (Weghorst, Berghuis, Klaassen) is simply tto big. But it's a goal of mine to correct that flaw in the season(s) to come.
