tackle | verb
-to seize and throw down or stop (an opposing player with the ball) in football1
Temple gave up 17 unanswered points in the second half, 12 of which were the result of a touchdown to wide receiver Skyler Bell. You may be asking yourself how did those touchdowns happen. Temple's cornerbacks completely forgot how to properly wrap up a player for a tackle. Also on the second touchdown, there was some kind of black magic going on.

After Torey Richardson's failed tackle, Bell slid off Richardson's back and rode his teammate's crotch to the end zone. If literal dickriding can result in touchdowns, then there was absolutely no way Temple would be able to make a comeback.
Another problem with Temple today was their failure to seize opportunities. On UConn's first two drives, Nick Evers gave his best Evan Simon impression and fumbled the ball twice. How many points did Temple end up get from those turnovers? 3. It was an offensive struggle for both teams until Forrest Brock found Dante Wright on a slant route in the red zone for a 5 yard touchdown in the third quarter. Unfortunately, UConn scored 17 points afterwards with ease. Brock had two attempts to create a comeback. On the first attempt, Brock set up Dante Atton for a 49 yard field goal who unfortunately missed it. Still way better than Trujillo. No regrets there. The second attempt ended with Brock throwing into double coverage for a game-ending interception.
Now 1-5 going into the bye week, Temple has to figure out how to fix their problems on both sides of the ball. At least it looks like they figured out their o-line woes as they were only credited with one sack allowed.
