Whole lot of trap games in this schedule Let's clean it up and get some consistency from all three units.

'Canes hang 52 points on Orange in lopsided ACC opener
For the third consecutive game, the Miami Hurricanes crossed the fifty point threshold against the Syracuse Orange, scoring three touchdowns in two different quarters to rout the Orange 52-10 on Saturday to begin ACC play.
The Hurricanes gave the Orange a heavy dose of their rushing attack, scoring on consecutive running plays to take a 14-0 lead before running back Andre Devine returned a punt for a touchdown. Syracuse would fight back, scoring on a twenty-two yard touchdown from Peter Kingsbury to Trevor Momah and intercepted Keke Hagg before the half to keep it within two possessions at the half.
Hagg would bounce back strongly, throwing three touchdowns in the third quarter including a 75-yard connection with Davon Momah, who Hagg had targeted on the interception. After the game, Miami head coach Mario Cristobal came to Hagg's defense, stating that he felt that too much focus and criticism was being placed on the third year quarterback.
"He can't sneeze without someone having an opinion on it," Cristobal said of Hagg, "He's a damn good quarterback and it's a lot of teams that would give up a lot to have a quarterback like [Hagg] so people should be appreciative of someone who I think is going to be a very special player for years to come."
Hagg's touchdown pass to Momah would be his last play of the day, being replaced by Bernie Flowers who found Tyler Rattay for a touchdown on Rattay's first career catch and snap.
Miami's defense would shut out Syracuse's offense in the second half, intercepting Peter Kingsbury twice and once backup quarterback James Hendricks was inserted into the game, it was a rude awakening for the freshman as he threw four interceptions in his sixteen pass attempts, including three to Elias Raines, tying a school record.

Hurricanes get first commitments of '29 class with Orlando's Seth Doss, four-star offensive tackle George Bojorquez
Eddie Fernandez -- 247 Sports Miami Insider
The University of Miami's 2029 class has officially began with four-star running back Seth Doss and four-star offensive tackle George Bojorquez coming on board Miami's recruiting class.
Both players were on campus this past weekend on their official visit where they pulled the trigger to become the founding member of a class that the Hurricanes' coaching staff feel can be one of the best classes in the country. With twenty five seniors on the roster, the Hurricanes project to land one of the bigger classes in the Mario Cristobal era after signing nearly half that amount the past two cycles.
A top 40 player in the state, Miami's coaching staff feels they found a gem in Doss who plays quarterback for Orlando Edgewater High School but projects to running back at the next level which is where the Hurricanes are recruiting him as. At six-foot-three and 231 pounds, Doss displayed good balance and pad level despite being a taller runner and does a good job finishing off runs as he's the focal point of the Eagles' running game.
He'll need to improve as a receiver as well as learn the intricacies of the position once he moves to running back full time but the talent is there for Doss to outplay his ranking as a borderline top-350 player in the country.
Alex Mirabal gets another talented player to stash away in his development chamber in Bojorquez, who looks how a Power 4 left tackle should look like at six-foot-six and 290 pounds with a frame that could get up to the 320s. Bojorquez does really well against power rushes but will need to continue to work on his ability when dealing with speedier guys around the edge who can give him problems with his footwork.
Georgia was involved in Doss' recruitment while Bojorquez was a highly contested recruiting battle involving Alabama, Florida State, USF and Nebraska.

Miami lands two blue chip defensive prospects in linebacker Pierre Hicks, defensive end Colby Shaver
Eddie Fernandez -- 247 Sports Miami Insider
Four-star defensive end Colby Shaver and four-star linebacker Pierre Hicks are the newest members of Miami's recruiting class, picking the Hurricanes over the likes of Georgia, Alabama and LSU.
Shaver, who visited Miami last weekend, is a top 70 prospect and the second ranked defensive end in the country. A highly productive player for powerhouse Bishop Gorman, Shaver's twitchiness and motor makes him a nightmare for offensive tackles and quarterbacks off the edge. An ideal 4-3 defensive end, he projects to be a bigger JOKER linebacker in Miami's base 3-4 but the Hurricanes play plenty of sub packages with four down lineman, which is when Shaver is at his best.
Miami's coaching staff is higher on Hicks than many recruiting services, who have Hicks outside of the top-300 but the Canes coaching staff feel that Hicks has the athletic profile to be a potential early impact player. A comparison that has been made is current Miami linebacker Isaiah Rugamba who started at outside linebacker and moved to inside linebacker this past offseason. Hicks is a similar prospect in terms of his versatility to play different positions and as an athlete, there are few linebackers as explosive as Hicks this cycle.
