3-0 like you’d hoped. Let’s see if you can keep that momentum going

🔁 Hokies Suffer Major Injury Blows Despite Perfect Start
Injuries Hit as ACC Play Starts

Blacksburg, VA — The Virginia Tech Hokies may be riding high at 4–0 and ranked 23rd in the nation, but their depth chart took a significant hit this week with the loss of two key starters to long-term injuries. Senior cornerback Isaiah Brown-Murray, one of the anchors of Tech’s secondary, will be sidelined for six weeks after suffering a broken collarbone. Meanwhile, star running back Terion Stewart, the heart of the Hokies’ ground game, is out for the next five weeks with a torn labrum.

Stewart’s injury is particularly devastating given his role in Virginia Tech’s offensive identity. The senior from Memphis, TN — known as an Elusive Bruiser who combines shifty footwork with punishing power — has been the go-to weapon in critical situations. His ability to grind out tough yards and keep the chains moving will be sorely missed as the Hokies enter the thick of ACC play. Without Stewart, Tech’s backfield will need to find a committee approach to replicate his production and physical presence.

Brown-Murray’s absence in the secondary leaves a leadership void for a defense that has been the Hokies’ backbone early in the season. The senior’s ability to match up with top receivers and his physicality in run support will be difficult to replace. Defensive coordinator Chris Marve will likely lean on younger, less-experienced corners to step into starting roles, testing the depth and resilience of the unit.

With two star players sidelined, Virginia Tech faces a crucial stretch that could determine whether their hot start translates into a legitimate ACC title push — or an uphill battle to stay in the Top 25. The Hokies will need both creativity and grit to navigate the coming weeks.

Couple of tough blows after a solid start to the year. Hoping your backups can step in and contribute right away. Love the addition of Koi, got him to sign in an online dynasty with my buddies and he’s a beast. Any plans to use him on both sides eventually? Or is he staying at safety?

not good timing for the injuries, but you took care of business in non-conference play

I’m thinking about playing him both ways, I wouldn’t mind getting him like 5-10 snaps a game, I just don’t want to wear him out as he is a stud in the secondary.

Here’s hoping my boy Koi keeps balling out for you.

:papicry:

I’m gonna be devastated if he actually transfers on us IRL.
