Tennessee hit y'all with big plays but gassed out :camdead:
Treggs was giving me fits to open the half :dead:

definitely miss my man Momah who could just shut that shit down. Had to take Allotey out of the box and double Treggs the rest of the game

Doesn’t look like the streak ends here
Tennessee was one I was worried about. Their Veer and Shoot always gives me problems. But Florida State is not the other

Defense and Jennings seems to be bailing out Meredith so far.. 7 TD 4 INT but yet still4-0. But going to need a bigger and better game if you are going to beat FSU.

I am not sure I have enough free time to stay caught up on all the stats you provide.. Again hats off to you and this thread. So much detail and love the way you present it.
thanks as always man :melo2:

I like the look of the new tables, but its still taking me twice as long to get updates up with them, gotta get it more streamlined

Freshman LB David Bean Suspended One Game

Conway, SC. - The Coastal Carolina Chanticleers announced Thursday that freshman linebacker David Bean, who is redshirting this season, will not travel or suit up for this week’s matchup against Florida State.

Head coach Kade Vaughn confirmed after Thursday’s practice that Bean has been held out for internal reasons.

“David’s had some trouble staying consistent in the weight room, so we’re giving him time to make up his sessions,” Vaughn said.

Sources close to the program indicated that Bean has repeatedly missed mandatory weight training sessions, despite coaches emphasizing the need for him to add size and strength ahead of a potential rotational role next season.

Bean’s suspension is expected to last one game. However, sources also noted that continued issues could result in further disciplinary action, up to and including dismissal from the program.

Tallahassee, FL. - When Coastal Carolina jogged into the halftime locker room trailing 21–7, head coach Kade Vaughn didn’t sugarcoat his message.

“If we really let these baby back bitches beat us in those stupid powder blue jerseys,” Vaughn barked, “I’m benching everyone next week. I’ll burn redshirts before I let a team get dog-walked by an inferior opponent.”

Message received.

After a sloppy first half that featured an 89-yard Florida State touchdown run on the opening play, a late deep strike to Darin Wilkes, and a pick-six thrown by quarterback Fredrick Meredith, the Chanticleers flipped the script entirely after the break — outscoring the Seminoles 50–7 in the second half to move to 5–0.

Running back Cordell Jennings ignited the comeback with a 48-yard burst to set up his first of three touchdowns, cutting the deficit to one score. On the next drive, star defensive end Alfonso Smith — the nation’s sack leader — continued his rampage with another takedown, forcing a punt.

Tyler Hagg promptly took that punt 68 yards to the house, juking the punter in the process and tying the game just three minutes into the third quarter.

Florida State unraveled from there. A holding penalty buried the Seminoles near their own goal line, and Monte Miner delivered consecutive sacks for a safety to put Coastal ahead. Jennings added another touchdown moments later, capping a 23-point blitz that turned a 21–7 halftime hole into a 30–21 advantage.

Florida State briefly countered with another long Wilkes touchdown, but Coastal slammed the door with a defensive score from — who else — Alfonso Smith, and a 77-yard bomb from Meredith to Tavares Tinker in the closing minutes. Vaughn kept the pedal down late, with Jennings rumbling in for his third score with 13 seconds left.

That last touchdown drew a long stare at midfield from Florida State head coach Tyler Lutrus, who was clearly unhappy with the late fireworks.

When asked postgame if there was an exchange, Vaughn smirked.

“Simply told him, you better come correct if you want the crown,” Vaughn said. “I should’ve added they need to retire those god-awful blue jerseys.”

Coastal’s defensive front — led by Smith and Miner — again set the tone, while the secondary’s vulnerability to chunk plays remained the lone blemish on an otherwise dominant outing. Meredith shook off early jitters to finish strong, stabilizing an offense that looked lost in the first half.

The Chanticleers return home next week for another statement opportunity against No. 14 Louisville — a game that will further test whether Vaughn’s team is simply hot, or truly becoming elite.

Not the kind of Strange you want, as the cornerback jumped the screen pass and was off for the 66 yard touchdown.

Coastal's swarming defensive front continues to save the season, adding seven more to raise their season total to 37.

For the 2nd straight game a WR burned the Chants deep consistently, this time it was Darin Wilkes to snagged a pair of long touchdowns to burn the defense.

not the best alternate jerseys we've ever seen lol

Still early and the way our offense has been touch and go, I don't think a repeat is guaranteed yet. But we've gotten through the tough beginning stretch. Only Louisville, LSU, and Miami remain that could pose a challenge

Coastal Carolina Issues Formal Reprimand Following Vaughn's Comments During Florida State Win

Image

Conway, SC. - Five games into their national title defense, the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers remain undefeated, but not without turbulence off the field.

On Tuesday morning, Coastal Athletic Director Mike Buddie issued a formal reprimand to head coach Kade Vaughn following multiple incidents during and after the Chanticleers’ 45–17 win over Florida State in Week 5.

According to sources and internal reports, Vaughn delivered an explicit halftime speech to his team that included a derogatory reference toward the Seminoles, calling them “baby back bitches in those stupid powder blue jerseys.” He was also involved in a brief verbal altercation with Florida State head coach Tyler Lutrus during the postgame handshake, where Vaughn reportedly told him, “You’d better come correct if you want the crown.”

In a joint statement released Tuesday, Buddie and University President Dr. James Winebreak said that while Vaughn’s passion has been instrumental in Coastal’s rapid rise to prominence, his comments and conduct fell short of the university’s expectations.

“While players are held to a personal code of conduct, coaches are held to an even higher standard of leadership and professionalism,” the statement read. “Continued conduct unbecoming of a coach at the Atlantic Coast Conference level will result in further discipline, up to and including suspension.”

The reprimand is the first internal disciplinary action under Buddie’s tenure as athletic director, and marks the latest instance in an ongoing pattern of friction between Vaughn’s brash, emotional style and Coastal’s evolving administrative tone.

Since his arrival in Conway last winter, Buddie has emphasized “professionalism, consistency, and honor” as cornerstones of the Chanticleer athletic identity; a deliberate shift from the freewheeling, media magnet energy that has defined Vaughn’s program since his hiring in 2025.

Vaughn, now in the final year of his contract, has led Coastal to two national championships and is currently on a 21 game win streak, turning the once underdog program into a juggernaut. But his fiery personality, which has drawn multiple public fines from the ACC in recent seasons for comments toward officials and opposing coaches, continues to test the balance between swagger and structure inside the program.

While no further action is being taken at this time, Buddie’s reprimand carries a clear message: the days of unchecked bravado in Conway may be numbered.

“Winning is the standard here,” Buddie said when reached for comment. “But how we win matters just as much.”

The top-ranked Chanticleers will face Louisville next week in another ranked match up, Coastal's fourth already this season, but for now, the biggest battle around Coastal Carolina may be between passion and professionalism.
